But if you have power charges built up, it applies to totems. So you'd just need to have something with power charge on crit to cast yourself, even if it does no damage, it can still gives charges.

Or again, power siphon. You don't need to get the kill, iirc, just hit the enemy before it dies (500 ms? Been a while).
