Enki's Arc Witch - maybe back some day?

Is there a way to search this thread? I'm sure this question has been asked and answered already but it's hard to find info on almost 2000 pages lol.

With Arcane Surge, I assume the spell damage increase with quality doesn't affect the DPS of Arc, and I can just Vaal Orb it now that it's at Level 20? I noticed in the guide and on the POB it's not 20% quality, but I wanted to make sure before I corrupt with no quality.
Basically all gems in the guide not marked with a '*' can be vaaled at level 20 with no quality? I noticed 2 of the golems have 20% quality.

Correct, it increases the damage of linked skill gems.
I can recommend using the wiki to easily check up on what quality does for gems. This is the page for arcane surge: https://pathofexile.fandom.com/wiki/Arcane_Surge_Support

Thanks for the reply! I have advanced descriptions on and saw what the quality did but I wasn't sure if the 10% increase stacked with the Arcane Cloak increase in damage, I appreciate your clarification.

Which are the gems do you sugest to use on Cloak of Defiance 5 link?

Take another look at the gem section, Enki explains what the 5th and 6th link should be in your arc chain.

My late game ring is an unset ring. What gem do you advice puttin in? Shall I stop playing Essence Worm and slot Wrath in my rare Unset ring, or shall I add another spell ?

You kinda need Essence worm for Wrath. Otherwise you'll reserve 50% of your mana for wrath.
You could run Vitality for some extra life regen, or run anima stone in your passive tree and an extra golem (Ice golem). I'd probably go for the Ice golem option.

Hello want to thank you Enki for this awesome build, this is my first playtrough and I am enjoying it very much. Considering I am a beginner, im having a few doubts now.


According to build, I should be buying 6L chest now, which is around 5+ EX which I have atm.

I am having troubles with lag as many other people with recent patch and I tend to get 1 shotted in some fights/spawns/ultimatums. My current HP is 3.4K and you recommend 4.5K and I am not even near.


I was thinking to spending ~1ex each with a focus on more life and keeping resi @ 75%:

Belt with mana regen/ring/boots/gloves and helm with more armor/%life

Would that be good a decision before buying 6L chest? IMO i think I dont lack dmg, I run t12-t15 easily except some obnoxious bosses.


When it comes to bosses my Wave of Conviction would help a lot but its not triggering:
126-187 fire
75-105 fire
75-111 lightning

Where can I get that ligtning dmg??
