Enki's Arc Witch Memorial Page & POE 2 Arc Summary

I doubt that. Desecrate reduces my mana not increase it. I die quicker when I activate it for mana depletion.

Gimdornim is an expert for this topic, try to double-think before you doubt that, friend.

You made your profile private, so we cannot help you check build anymore.

Do you have Essense Glutton in you Ascendancy Node? That recovers your mana with corpse created from your Desecrate.

Do you have Plaguebringer in your Ascendancy Node? That reduces damage from your enemy, with corpse created from Desecrate as well.

Also Corpse Pact, will create more troubles to enemy troops.

I read and followed what you suggested me. i can't go Cloak right now sicne I need tiem to figure how to requip my whole build to keep my esistence capped. I will do Kitava's Teaching a look but right now is 1 am and I have work to do tomorrow.

I doubt my issue can be fixed because I'm starting to think I not playing this build right and that can't be fixed.

I did spot one optimization error off the bat when I looked at your skill tree.

Namely, you didn't add a point to the +25 +10% Mana node just above Battle Rouse, but somehow spent a point slightly further above near the basic jewel slot for 8% mana.

The only reason you would do this is if you are planning to go for the jewel slot, but even then it's still more slot efficient than the singular 5% life slot(converted into 10% mana by Healthy Mind) anyway.

And if you are planning to go for the jewel slot, you should drop 2 points of life around the Constitution area straight away and make up the loss easily with a good %life jewel.

Thank you, making these changes.

I think it is great courage from you to mention you're not playing the build right. I still believe you can fix it though.

Can you share your profile again? I might find some time tonight to check your POB. I highly suspect you're suffering from mana regeneration, but cannot comment before checking it.

Please don't do "Kitava's Teaching" yet, just keep your money in stash for now.

That jewel require you to have corpse created frequently around you, you'll die faster if you don't auto-trigger Desecrate. That will make you more frustrated without correct setup.

To clarify my suggestion in case I didn't mention it clearly:

* top priority: get a trigger weapon no matter how junky it is, take a try to auto trigger Conductivity + Bone Offering + Desecrate
* second priority: remove chain support for now
* thrid priority: try cloak
* fourth priority: try Kitava's Teaching

I don't doubt Gimdornim skill, I've no desire no intention to insult him or his skills.
I doubt the uselessness of Bone Offerign since my perception of it so far is that it does nothing to me.

I decided since Heist is ending in two weeks to stop here. I will not get the cat but I've done better than Harvest anyway. Half a victory is still a victory. Thanks for your help but you should not worry about me anymore.

My skill tree is exactly the same of Enki PoeBuild so yes I have Plaguebringer, Corpse Pact and Essence Glutton. Is really late right now, I will not reply further for today.

Hello all, if anyone has a minute to take a look at my build I would appreciate any suggestions from those more experienced than I on what I should improve next, or, if I have made some substantial error that could be easily fixed. Overall things are going well but the DPS seems to be lacking a little.

Thinking about the Cloak of Defiance but also not really wanting to have to reconfigure all resistances. My current plan is to save up for a while and then to replace gloves, boots, body, belt, and one ring all at once so I can hopefully have an easier time balancing the resistances.

What is a reasonable number for chaos resistance? I think I might have my goal set too high and might be better served by allowing that to drop down some. Perhaps there are crafted mods I could move around to stay resistance capped but also allow the use of the Cloak of Defiance immediately.

Thank you in advance for the assistance.

Your wand is really nice with +2 gem levels, but in exchange it's missing ~150 mana easily found on cheaper ones. Not sure if this makes a difference for you; you'll have to see that in PoB(or just buy a cheap one and compare ingame). Mana is good both offensively and defensively for this build.

Other gears are solid. Upgrading to cloak helps with survivability, but you only mentions dps so I guess survivability doesn't concern you.

You might want to start to think about how to fit in conductivity / culling strike / unnerve. There are many possible ways to proceed: you can use curse on hit ring, culling/unnerve gloves, cluster jewels, curse on hit wand, conductivity/blade blast gem in wand, etc. Lower enemies' resistance is always a good thing to do once you hit some dps breakpoint. Culling strike and unnerve are even better, since they are effectively "more damage" multiplier no matter how much dps you have. If you find your DPS lacks when facing some harder bosses, that's where culling strike really shines. It specifically shortens the last phases of most boss fights where they tend to get new abilities and become annoying.

If you really want to push that even further, I'm trying to obtain +1 frenzy charge gloves and good Heat-attuned Tower Shield(for lowering resistance even more) myself, maybe with explode chest for 100% delirius map, but none of this should be required for any of the standard endgame content.

Thank you, the gloves are high on my list of next items to get, going to be a lot of grinding to buy them but I will make that my next improvement.

I will keep the Cloak of Defiance in mind, right now I am not dying all that often but can only do Sirus at 7 and would like to get to 8 by the end of the season, as well as level 98.

With regards to total mana, I am sitting at 7k right now and am generally not running too low. I don't know that I understand how a larger mana pool will increase my damage substantially, perhaps there is a mechanic that I am not understanding?

For A8 Sirus you can buy a cheap "corrupted blood cannot be inflicted on you" jewel and have culling strike on a storm brand. The rest is just enough EHP for when you got hit and did not block. Some physical mitigation can also help.

This is an archmage build so more unreserved mana = more damage for arc. Arcane cloak also turns the mana you have when you cast it into lightning damage, so you'll want to cast it on full unreserved mana as much as possible. Don't put it on left click like me, it's a bad habit. You also have the helmet enchant, so the arcane cloak can use more mana for this purpose. I'm sitting at 9k mana, but it's not rare that archmage builds end up with more than 10k mana.

The DPS increase should be quite a lot if you can make it to 9k or higher mana, but whether it's worth losing the gem level mods you'll have to check for yourself in PoB.
A noob question here.

But how can you get a DPS around 1 mil dps?

When I look in game and looking at the "Arc" spell I have around 40k DPS and I am L84.

Where is the main DPS coming from? ^^

The in-game tool tip DPS isn't actually how much damage you'll be doing (and unfortunately this is the case for most builds). This build gets the majority of its damage through a couple of mechanics, the primary one being spending mana (archmage).

Have a look at the first page of the guide, in the "Path of Building" section, expand out that part and get 'Path of Building' installed. This will allow you to import your character and that will be the best way to know your 'true' DPS.

Edit: Further to the above, as you are new, I cannot put enough emphasis on how important it is that you read the ENTIRE guide, all of it. Yes, there is a lot of text, and yes, there is a lot to take in/understand, but you will come out of it so much better off, not only for this build, but for any others you decide to try in future leagues. It really is one of the best guides I've seen, period.

Regards,
Cypr3ss.

Character screen DPS doesn't include multiple factors, such as resistance penetration, curses, buffs like Arcane Cloak and Arcane Surge, and more.
So yeah, use Path of Building instead.
