Has anyone here got to level 80+ as Shadow Trickster, Witch Occultist, and Scion Assassin/Beserker and have opinions on which is best and why? I've seen posts in other threads from people giving their opinions, but haven't seen anyone state they have actually tried all 3.

I'm asking because I currently play this as a Scion, but thinking of switching to Trickster or Occultist so I can try a different build on my scion. If it matters, I don't currently have a Voll's devotion so I use blasphemy+warlords. Will be same on whichever character I switch to unless I get lucky on my next 342 agate ammy chancing trip.

cliff notes: it's all personal preference but having tested it as both trickster and sin/zerker i can say a few things, occultist not so much.

trickster is easier gearing, far more selection of jewelry without having to worry about -mana rolls. the es/eva from your merc labs ascendancy give a nice boost to your es pool and while i dont have enough eva to be "lol i never get hit" every little bit helps.

sin/zerker if you can manage your mana well is a lot more convenient imho, and if i wasn't building on a budget would likely be my choice. can drop LL for bv in your 6L which is just a nice QoL change and hits crit cap and thus most reliable dps a lot easier. personally if funds aren't a problem sin/zerk would be better imho, but you will need to make up for a lot of the weaknesses of it with higher value items where as trickster is fairly cheap to gear
Hi, gonna make this build as Trickster CI ofc for more defensive and free cyclone and whirling blades. I have one Shadow, but assassin, lvl 72. Should I reroll this char (it will cost me a lot) or make new? Can I level nice since lvl 38? It is worth to make another char on Perandus (I will not play on standard).

72 isn't regret spam worthy IMO, just level another char. Blade Vortex leveling is fastest, but I just used Freezing Pulse in a Tabula with BV for bosses because I enjoy the skill more.

@38, Fakener can be a little rough because you'll only have 4 (if you rushed the charge in Shadow) power charges. I used an Ungil's Harmony until I picked up the first 5 power charges from the tree, then swapped it out for something with crit. Your Vagan dagger is another big factor: I had to wait on picking up EE until 44 when I could use my multi-modded dagger... and while getting a sub 38 level req dagger is possible, regaling it to craft crit could put it up into the low to mid 40's range, so you're missing out on more crit there. I hate leveling with one skill to swap for another at 60+, so I push to make CoC builds work immediately.

If you don't mind sitting in dried lake until 44, getting a Vagan Boot Blade with added fire and crafting crit is the way to go. I bought mine for 30c (someone flat regal'd fire damage, so I had 4 open affixes for multi-mod) and MM'd it for a solid dagger at 44.

This is Ungil's if you've never used one before:

TLDR: Level a new character, use the currency you saved to get a good Vagan dagger/Call of the Brotherhood, level with an Ungil's Harmony until you're comforatble with your crit.
someone used Call of the Brotherhood ring like mathil ci build did? if yes how is dps difference?
I am following Mathil's trickster guide fairly closely and am sitting at lvl60 and comfortably dealing with most things. I am levelling life based with the intention of swapping out to CI soon. I was just wondering what a good time to spec into CI is? I am beginning to feel the impact of having very little life (just over 2k and a about 700es). Is lvl 60 too early to spec into CI? I have the currrency to buy moderate to decent ES shield/boots/helm but nothing crazy at this stage.
Stupid question but why does mathil use a lvl 3 lifeleech? why not leveling it up?

I made the switch around 60, but had been gearing for hybrid and putting passives into es from the start. when i switched over to CI i waited to grab all the points behind CI as well, and swapped in an Energy from within jewel into the socket between shadow/witch/scion to turn the hybrid cluster into a pure es cluster. Now i'm sitting around 5k es without my merc labs (thus no 500 bonus base es) and using garbage boots, mediocre everything else, and having no real problems.

because the % leech doesn't scale with level, only the leech rate, which is a dead stat given vaal pact makes all life leech instant.
hey i am interested to this build, having some questions here:

1. why is this build not using voll's devotion? using devotion will significantly increase the dps output, am i right?
2. are we solely depend on voll's chest to generate charges?
3. what are the best mods on weapons for this build?

Thanks in advance.
Hello, i've a question about EE and charges on this build, im currently lvl 92 with my CI trickster shadow using call of the brohood ring. I want to use volls devo and my question is if i should have cold dmg on the gear to proc EE for fire and lightning and if i should get extra endurance from oak in merciless.
If you read a bit the thread all this is answered already.

IT DOES, but its a luxury item.

2. are we solely depend on voll's chest to generate charges?

Voll's to generate Power charges

Voll devotion / Warlord mark to generate Endurance Charges

Blood rage / Poachers mark to generate Frenzy charges

You can also use Skyforth + 6L with "Power charge on crit" gem (as i do in my lowlife version)

3. what are the best mods on weapons for this build?

Thanks in advance.

If you are going to use Voll devo u HAVE TO DROP CotB as it turns half of ur LIGHT damage to COLD and your voll devotion gives you FIRE damage. so theres 2 setups:

CotB + fire damage to proc EE and NO VOLL DEVOTION
Voll devotion + cold damage to proc EE and NO CotB

For the charges i recomend Allira (Power charge)
FatherFakener (Trickster Fakener CI)
Severne_I (LowLife Fakener)
Severne_II (Inquisitor Crit Life Storm Caller)
MCLMXXXVIII (Champion Oro's Flicker)
