I see,you can try herald of ice with curse on hit and assassin's mark.
That should free one gem slot. I prefer lower tooltip dps full phys than higher tooltip with phys to lightning too. |
|
" It is actually better because you won't care about the defensive stuff that the map mods give to mobs, such as Lightning Resistance. I tried Assassin's Mark with CoH in and out for some time before I hit 90 and it felt unreliable because I mostly rolled "Monsters cannot be cursed" mod, lol. The only reason I went full phys is the VP though, the leech seems too unreliable with conversions. :( Anyway, might give it a try. I don't know what gem I should use instead of PCoC then though. Using SA - Chain - PCoC - IncCritMulti - PPAD - Slower Proj. Also, in the video with Split Arrow you can see that the boss drops kinda slow using Frenzy on him. Changed FA for Point Blank and made another video. The boss drops in seconds. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mH0BTB0TiyQ |

I use herald of ash for immune to curses maps with no power charges. I usually avoid them though.
Yeah, tooltip says nothing when you find lightning res mobs and there are many out there. Phys is the way to go,for leech too as you said. This is my setup,i realy dislike slower projectiles on split arrow. |
|
" Changed to that setup. Feels better, slower projectiles were kinda slugging me lol. Also using the CoH setup again. The dps you lose by using HoI instead of HoA is made up from cursing them with Assassin's Mark anyway. |

" Just to requote this.. for clarification?? Anyone? Nobody ansuwered before and I'm still on the fence in warbands. My gearing has quite a bit to go. Pretty much deciding on the chest before the jewlery so I need some guidance! Appreciate it! Edit: Just managed a 6l daresso's today!? Let's go boys! " Not really, to be candid. I've been playing this build since the start of the league, and reflect has always been a major issue, especially if you tend to be reckless, and doing crazy fast speedruns. At first, I thought that the problem is originated from the 100% accuracy of my Lioneye's Glare, however it still persisted after upgrading to a far superior Harbinger Bow. I'm talking about Elemental Reflect here, especially after I started using Physical to Lightning and my damage skyrocketed from my Harbinger. I've never had difficulties with Physical Reflect, IC+Id is more than enough for mitigating the damage (no need to self-cast Endurance Charges manually, not to mention those people who advise using Daresso's...WHY? Meiocre leech, mediocre life, no resist, awful eva). Elemental Reflect is a bitch, thou. I easily oneshotted myself 4-5 times a day while having 4k+ hp (sometimes offscreen) when I reached 60-70k tooltip damage with charges (embarrassing, I know), completely impeding my progression. It's important to note that these deaths mostly happened on Vulnerability/Less Regen/No Regen maps, however it was still incredibly annoying as I did not want to reroll my maps 10+ times to avoid these mods. After looking into the problem, I discovered I had to improve my life leech, by: 1. Removing WED and run Life Leech instead, which would have been a huge damage setback (10k+ tooltip) 2. Running Warlords Mark + CoH --> have to drop Assassin's Mark, and lose Power Charges --> another huge DPS loss 3. Getting a 6l armour/bow and use Leech as the 6th gem. Ultimately I ended up with a 6l armour, adding Life Leech to my kit. Just to be sure, I specced into Vaal Pact as well, which is simply AWESOME. (explains the price asked for an Acuity :P) edit: As soon as I hit next level, I will start testing Arrow Dancing. The meele evasion nerf looks bad, however I don't remember dying to meele attacks at all during my mapping journey. edit2: After upgrading to a 6l TS setup (TS - GMP - PPAD - PTL - WED - Life Leech) I started to experience mana issues. It seems like the more currency I put into the build, the less effective it gets for me...hence this post might seem to be a bit salty. :D The moral of the story is that the leech coming from the tree/Blood Rage is inadequate, especially if you run PTL. Leech stats on gear also give Phyiscal Leech, which helps, but they are kinda meh. I'm not arguing against this build, however, according to my experiences, in the current meta, +3 Poison Arrow is far superior to Tornado Shot. Reflect is non-existent for PA, and the gear is way cheaper. You can easily craft a 6l +3 bow for a few exalts, while a 5l 9crit Harbinger with decent damage can cost up to 10-20 exalts. Moreover, you don't even need a 6l chest for PA, leaving some pretty cheap options for that slot as well. TL;DR elemental reflect sucks leech is life, vaal pact is god PA/EA>TS in the current meta Zuletzt bearbeitet von phobia90s#4303 um 23.08.2015, 08:49:20

" That's sweet man! Congratulations! To be honest, it's all preference. If you can cap your resists, do go for it, really. It's gonna and will help vs reflect alot. Myself, I selfcast EC so I use a rare chest instead. Lightning Coil is insane also. :) |

Is it ever worth to try to work a 4L rain of arrow totem into this? (with ppad+added fire)
Or the damage becomes negligable late game so better off with a decoy? How about cwdt-phase-frost wall(-ice golem/br)? Too unreliable? |

" what 6 mods shld i aim for on belt and quiver? ammy and rings i will craft when i lvl up my masters. " noted. Can i get advice on best gems and link, i've changed to SA for aoe and Frenzy for single target dps. what are the best 6 links for SA and Frenzy? Also for the other 3x4link are my combinations good or can be better? flasks? Current gear gems/links. |

Hi!
I'm currently using Doomfletch as a weapon and I find it very difficult to know which bow would be an upgrade since the 110% of bow physical damage extra damage as an element does not seem to be calculated in the offense tab. I do think that means that Doomfletch actual dps = (base damage * (1 + 1.1))/aps. Crit chance and accuracy are irrelevant as the other bow can have the same %. If that is true, can I simply use a bow that would have more than twice the physical damage on Doomfletch as a rule of thumb? If not, how can I be sure that it is a straight upgrade from Doomfletch? Please help! :P |
