Friendly reminder: Energy Shield leech will be nerfed before release
im not so familar with all these patch cycles, so one question:
the patchnotes released yesterday are NOT final? the final (and maybe changed from yesterday to tomorrow ) are released tomorrow. Are the patchnotes tomorrow absolutly final or is ggg also releasing balance patches after a league started? |

" They change things during leagues from time to time I dont see any any key!

" They already confirmed that SRS mana-raise has been removed, and the accuracy rating on SRS (and I think Zombies/Skeletons) has been doubled. |

" Those Patch Notes are final, but it doesnt mean they wont make some quick changes. |

What's really funny is that the Energy Leech gem is better on non-CI life based casters that use Eldritch Battery.
Most CI characters (trickster/occultist) get so much regen that the leech is basically a meme. You rarely reach because regen is so good. This is for people that use ES as mana. For those, this gem will be awesome. People wanna hate on Energy shield, but this helps life based casters more and makes EB an excellent choice now. " Arcane surge requires you spend 400 mana to tigger. This one requires you have one item with ES. That’s the problem. It’s too easy to acess the bonus. Compare to this gem, ruthless support is a joke. Image ggg change fortify support in smiliar way, you will see how rediculous this one is. It’s not ok that a utility support gem brings a dmg bonus in line with a dmg support gem. Not to mention that bonus is almost unconditional. |

If they nerf it before the league starts they alienate players...
Mid league adjustment means they benefit from it player wise at the league start. OP stuff always draws a crowd. Crowds generate income... GGG is a business... Im banking on greed... it stays in its current form for a while at least. NS |

" 39% more without drawback = okay? Controlled Destruction gives 44% more at the cost of 100% critchance And the gem still offers the leech and you want me to explain what is op about it? German saying: Schönheit und Funktionalität in Sekundenschnelle zu ruinieren, ist dem wahren Dilettanten keine Herausforderung!

" But it does have a "drawback" or at least condition - you always have to be leeching. There are many superior to equal gems in the 39-50+% range that either have truly no drawback (elemental damage with attacks, melee phys, efficacy, combustion, hypothermia) or drawbacks that don't apply to all builds (controlled destruction / dots, ele focus) If anything this is just highlighting how terrible the real outliers are - gems like life/mana leech that haven't seen serious use in ages because their 'bonus' just isn't worth the complete loss of damage. Again 39% while leeching may be a little bit generous but if I didn't know better I'd think many of you wouldn't be satisfied with anything but a DOA gem. |
