[Official] WINE info thread

Game won't run for me anymore, I get the crash and system freeze when the GGG Cogs all of a sudden stop turning during the initial load.

I'm running through Lutris now, and have tried a few different runners, but always the same.

I've heard it could be to do with screen resolution, but I've altered that and tried windowed mode too, still no dice.

Any suggestions?

Did you try with 1920x1080 and windowed mode? How are you setting the resolution?

I'm setting it in the ini file as I can't get into game settings.

I don't think I've tried that specific resoultion, I will try later.
Is there a way to run PoE in wine or something on Windows XP SP2? I don't need good gfx or frame rate. I just want to run it in the background so I can sell stuff while i'm at work ;-D. 640x480 windowed playdough would be fine.

It's working now, I think resizing and using windowed mode worked for me.
Update: I changed from using my own wine to tkg-4.3-x86_64 provided by Lutris (still not running via Lutris but that was the easiest way to get wine-tkg without running arch, itlooks like. The game has never been better.

Consistent 100+ fps, sound working again, no apparent memory leaks. Game ran for five hours or so with intense mapping before I experienced a single crash.

No launch options to PoE. Running with DXVK_ASYNX=1, DXVK_STATE_CACHE=0, WINEESYNC=1 (as per inspiration from https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/9x47or/guide_getting_path_of_exiledx11_to_run_smoothly/).

Only downside: no more excuses for avoiding dangerous content... :)
Has anyone experienced issues with sound after playing for some time (About an hour)?

At first I thought there was a strange distortion happening to the sound, but what I found in the end was that all sound was being repeated/played multiple times.
I tried installing Path of Exile on Lutris for the first time and it worked however after loading the game (after the spinning cogs), my pc froze. Please help.

Using the ff:
Ryzen 3 2200g
Vega 8 (integrated graphics)
16gb ram
Linux Mint 19.1 64-bit Cinnamon
Kernel 4.2.13-042013-generic
Mesa 19.1.0-devel - padoka PPA
Default Wine on Lutris (I think it is the tkg-4.3-x86_64)
Latest Dvxk

I followed the installation guide on (https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/9x47or/guide_getting_path_of_exiledx11_to_run_smoothly/).

Did you set the display to 1080p? Dxvk refuses to run on some resolutions.

In my production_Config.ini (found at ~/My Games/Path of Exile/production_Config.ini):

...
[DISPLAY]
borderless_windowed_fullscreen=true
resolution_height=1080
resolution_width=1920
...

Oh. That's probably why. Lol. Thanks for the reminder!
