Just got my beta invite...woot!
Game works fine (slightly slow/choppy) on Paralells 7. Kind of expected, really. However on Crossover 10, I get no 3d images whatsoever. On load, I have no background. On character creation, there are no characters. On loading game, there is a black screen with the UI and item/character labels, but that is it. I can navigate blindly, but there are no visuals. Any advice? Thanks. |

I tried to run PoE using Wineskin and Crossover, in both cases i could download the game and updates using client.exe and then run it, but then I was stuck on the loading screen (the one with static Grinding Gears logo).. The only message i get after a long time of loading was Exception:
"Audio/Sound Effects/Skills/Blade-flurry/Start_04.ogg": Unable to create a buffer: 40963 Actually I'm trying to install it again using another version of Wine, but I think it won't help. Anybody with the same problem or solution? Even the second version of wine can't do anything. " i too run into this error with the same .ogg file. i'm running os x 10.6.8 with crossover 10.3. i haven't thought of a solution yet. someone with the know-how, please help a brother out. |
