To be fair, the amount of mechanics that translate well to an ARPG are finite. Eventually, you'll get similar mechanical tropes with new facia reworked and relaunched. To be incredibly reductive, Lake of Kilandra, Synthesis, Incursion... all follow VERY similar mechanics.

That said, I'd be okay if they canned PoE 2 all together. :)

Like it or not, POE 2 is the future. This is where their new playerbase resides and this is how they'll attract even more playerbase once 1.0 launches. POE1 doesn't attract new players anymore, in fact it's a game that's notoriously hostile to new players.

Right now POE 2 endgame is terrible. But so was POE 1 ten years ago. Don't tell me farming Piety was a compelling endgame. Or pre 3.0 leagues where even map sustain sucked and currency was rare as hell, to the point of running underground sea for alchemy orb div cards.

Wrong. POE1 leagues were getting more and more players each league. The last league before they started half assing poe 1 in favor of poe 2 was Settlers and that had set the highest all time player count.


Key Historical Player Count Milestones:
Settlers of Kalguur (3.25) (July 2024): ~229,337 concurrent players (Steam peak).
Necropolis (3.24) (March 2024): 189,712 concurrent players.
Affliction (3.23) (Dec 2023): 167,593 concurrent players.
Lake of Kalandra (3.19) (Aug 2022): 152,000+ concurrent players.
Historical Peak: The all-time peak is often cited around 229k-250k when including both Steam and the standalone client.


Poe 2 on the other hand set its peak and hasn't come close to it once based on steam numbers.

Dear GGG!! How about to extend Phercia event untill 3.28 ?

please extend phrecia I want to play something until the new league comes! I have literally nothing to play :( Please GGG! Just keep up the servers what is wrong with it?

Same observation than many other players on this thread, why dont you extend Phrecia to march 2nd ?

The Phrecia event is an interesting change to the game, despite some balance problems and campaign bosses additions that made levelling longer than usual for many ppl.
