critical constructive feedback: The loudest opinions aren’t always the most valuable.

Don't you think the loud toxic voice is the "OH Y>ES POE2 IS THE BEST SOULS GAME EVER OH MY GOD"... well think about it. :)

If it were true then the difficulty of the game wouldn't be nerfed several times lol.

+1. Loud community was POE 1 players and Diablo players - players who don't like to play actively and just need lobotomy gameplay of one button to play - as all builds in end-game now are one build buttons

Game is challenging as only first-time experience. If you get some knowledge it vaporized and being just like poe 1 - on blue gear you can complete entire campain without even thinking. So entire poe 2 identity is lost due to players who wanted to make it easier

so game will stick to poe 1 numbers - it's generic and null as poe 1

Strongly Agree.

Loved the slower campaign.

Hates the POE1 endgame in POE2.

+1 no guess why game ended with same numbers like poe 1... players who liked poe 2 have just few hours of gameplay here. Anything else is just same over-stimulating gameplay with no skill needed for active gameplay like in poe 1

But they are the ones that get heard!!!

Actually money and raw data talks. Couple of forum hotheads won`t change that.

Remember this is early access so time for experiments and tests from definition. I have no issue helping them finding sweet spot playing couple of umder/overtuned leagues. Neither should You, You literalliy signed up for that.

if you get rid of the target player base - tuning game to different player base. The data is not valuable. Hardest thing in game development is to progress that data and slice it to parts defining which is valuable and which not..

most valuable data doesn't come from most loud and highest amount of comments - as it's from emotional unstable people who will yap around anyway for any reason they will find with they emotional arguments that are out of the scope.

While you change game in large scale - and community will switch you will leave with wrong data and feedback

the data is = poe 2 is flooded by poe 1 zoomers and diablo zoomers. POE 2 0.1 was the best with highest people playing it as it was "different"
while it was toned to poe 1 pace of speed = lost of players that was interested = change of player group who plays and provide feedback to the game

Game was promised as slower and methodical but it's nothing like it - it's casual clicker game and hard only as "first experience" - all bosses and content is toned to be hard as first encounter when you learn the game. Otherwise it's nothing else than just calc of pace and zooming from poe 1.

While now ggg GET RID of the palyers who loved poe 2 slower and methodical gameplay

they are now overflooded with zoomers, dad gamers and casuals that just want to click - as it's now just a clicker game where people just pick one build without discovering them and playing them by yourself. Simplyfying it to just clicking instead of theory crafting. So 80% of community or even more is just casuals who copy builds and GGG listens to that zoomers and not real players who liked entire design of the game

building healthy community for your game - takes time...
ggg gived up on this and just targeting poe 1 zoomers and casuals and nothing else - both games share now same community

0.1 had highest people count simply due to launch hype. Nothing more nothing less.

It always gonna be like that. No matter the game no matter the genre. Even hardest encounters gonna be trivialized at some point.

You seem to forget what was happening at the beginning of 0.2.

This is a funny statement given how many people cry here about drop rates and "poe 2 not respecting ppl time" and GGG giving zero shits about them :D
It's part of the problem with having a pawl + ratchet mechanism of game development for live service games that also have an intermittent reward loop design.

You continuously offer increased rewards, loot, and power in a game that doles these things out in an intermittent manner to attract players back league after league and 20 leagues later what you've done is cultivated a player base which is mostly composed of people who play not because they enjoy the process of discovering or mastering systems within the game, but because they enjoy the intermittent manner in which they acquire rewards, loot, and power.

It's closely associated with addiction and other forms of physiological dysregulation, so this majority portion of the playerbase is also prone to irritability, anxiety, and other symptoms of emotional dysregulation potentially including withdrawal symptoms.

Of course, this doesn't apply to EVERY player, but it is very common, and it's why it seems like there are many people who play this game who do not even really like this game. They can have 1000s of hours and will have a negative opinion on the game. Yet they won't stop playing it. There's a reason for this kind of dissonance.

A large part of the playerbase will always advocate and desire for further live service updates to increase rewards, loot, and power - in an continuous and insatiable manner, and they will always be the loudest because they are prone to being so. Some of the less self-aware players will even be confused as to why there's any friction in the game at all, because they view anything that isn't loot, power, or rewards only as something they are forced to tolerate.

I think the developers caught on to this too late with PoE1, the horse had already left the barn and going back would essentially create a scenario where they end up abandoning the majority of their cultivated playerbase.

I'm hoping they are a bit more aware of this aspect for further PoE2 updates but if you've ever wondered why it seems like most PoE1 players don't end up liking PoE2, just imagine how an addict might respond when they go for a hit and find out it's not as potent as they're used to. You're not likely to get a positive response, in fact, you're even more likely to get a hostile response lol.
Who am I to say anything, I don't respect my time either.
+1.

I had never interacted with the PoE community before and used to think it was at least a somewhat hardcore game. Now I realize it's one of the most casual communities in gaming. They want mobile-game-level gameplay, and yet they cry the loudest.

The current state of the gameplay brings nothing but gloom and boredom. In the past, one of the most fun spots on HC was the monkey at the start of Act 3, but now they nerfed it so hard that it's unlikely to kill anyone at all. The same goes for the wolf - is it even capable of killing anyone right now?

The entire endgame feels like a DPS check. And all this talk about it 'not being fun enough because everything is so slow' is just irritating. Even now, there are literally so many mobs and effects on the screen that you can't possibly react to them; your only option is to wipe it all with a single button.

I’m going to say a terrible thing for all these 'great' ARPG gamers: not everyone's idea of fun is measured in divs per hour. For many, it's about overcoming a challenge. At the moment, there is absolutely zero challenge in this game. All these SSF modes do nothing but prolong the journey to one-clicking an entire map. It doesn't add any gameplay depth. It doesn't add challenge. It just artificially lengthens the boring button-mashing gameplay
+1

poe2 is a zoom fest and too easy and too fast.

please make poe2 to his OWN game.

you want zoom zoom and fast? go and play poe1
you want different poe style game, different combat, different speed = go and play poe2 1.0 version.
