[Suggestion] Helm of Cruelty: Reintroducing Cruel Difficulty to Campaign (Leveling Unique)

I'm proposing a new unique "Helm of Cruelty," which allows players to "opt-in" to a harder version of the campaign—reminiscent of the old Cruel difficulty—in exchange for increased Gold income. By buffing monster effectiveness and reducing visibility, it adds higher challenge to the campaign for experienced players and those leveling alts. This would be a fun leveling unique.

Helm of Cruelty
Great Helm
Required Level: 10–15
+(5–10) to All Attributes
(10–15)% Reduced Light Radius
Monsters in your presence have (10–15)% Increased Effectiveness
(5–10)% Increased Quantity of Gold Dropped by Slain Enemies

Flavor Text: "True wealth is found by those who embrace the Cruel path."

How is this gonna work with, you know, trade. Cause it's gonna be pretty easy to just use twink gear to trivialize this difficulty and get more gold in turn.

Players will always find a way to game the system. This unique may encourage players to make alts with increased campaign challenge, adding replayability. Or if you find early in campaign, equip it and make monsters more difficult if you so choose. This would be easy for GGG to add to the game.

I thought mapping is doing the same shit but harder, but what do I know.

Mapping is endgame, this unique helm can be used in Act 1 for early leveling.

I didn't want to comment because I think this unique is the worst unique I have ever seen, but if you want me to comment on that.

1. No one wants harder mobs in acts
2. 10-15% more gold is nothing in this game
3. Reduced Light Radius make the early leveling more awful, when baseline is very low already.

Like seriously, someone who makes uniques like that should stay away from designing games

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but here are my thoughts to your response above.

1. It's a little presumptuous to think you're speaking for the community. You might not like harder mobs in acts, but several friends of mine including myself enjoy the challenge (like in 0.1.0 release).

2. This is an early game unique, no need to go crazy. 10-15% more gold is a nicety.

3. Reduced light radius was intended and fits thematically.

Is it fair to say that more people want skip, easier and faster acts?

I think I answered already for the rest of your post.
THE MAPPING is literally playing the same maps, the same content, the same monsters just harder. You have even tiers, you can challenge yourself on different levels.
I can't comprehend what is the purpose of this unique, really. What's unique about it?

It can be equipped at level 10. How can I make the campaign harder at level 10?
