Necromancer Sucks

Leveling minions right now in SSF and league temple is the only remotely challenging content atm (having aroud 150% increased monster effectiveness for some enemies). To me it's much better that we need to do something instead of letting minions to do everything for us. At least I'm forced to use flame wall for raging spirits, curse and offerings to be effective. I'm in A3 so maybe it will become worse in maps but so far so good.

When talking about minions in 0.4, in power terms they are ok.
But there's an argument you made which I fully agree with and it's the one where GGG is trying to push commands for minions, asking the players for more action per second because of course "engaging combat". People that play minions, want exactly the contrary of that, we want the minions to take care of the combat and the only thing I like to use as spells is stuff to debuff the mobs or buff the minions and such. They even changed the tree even more to reduce minion damage a little but they added damage for the main char as well on those nodes, hinting the players they want them to also use skills/spells to do DPS that don't come from the minions themselves. And the nodes for minion command damage, are dead nodes to me, but I understand some players might want to go there so I'm not really worried about that, but this cannot be the direction it should go any further. I played poison arrow this league and it was one of the most unsatisfying build I've even played so far, even if I killed uber abitrer already with it with pretty decent gear so I went back to minions, at level 56 right now and I'm having more fun. I just hope that this trend of wanting to use command skills dosen't take over otherwise this would simply be another spell caster class hidden under the front of a minion build. |

" I think that's mainly because these nodes are in druid/templar area and those two classes are meant to DPS along with their minions not because GGG wnats to force pure minion builds to do that. |
