No boss citadels on the Atlas – bug? PoE2 0.4.0c

Hi,

I’m having an issue with the Atlas in Path of Exile 2 (0.4.0c) and I’m hoping for some help.

I’ve completed around 150 maps so far and still haven’t encountered a single boss citadel.
I tried searching by moving in a straight line across the Atlas, but with no luck.

On top of that, I can’t see any beacons in the fog, as if they never spawned at all. It feels like this whole mechanic might be bugged on my account.

Has anyone run into a similar problem?
Is there anything I can do to fix this — some kind of reset, specific Atlas action, quest requirement, or condition that I might have missed?

I’d really appreciate any advice or suggestions.

They are just super rare again. I just recently found my first. Kinda ridiculous, but it is what it is.

went every direction on the altas, nothing....crazy

the citadels have glowing pillars of light on your map visible through the fog of war

you can see them from very far away, and they are very easy to find

citadels also come in trios, any time you find one, you will be able to see the others nearby (in the fog)

look for pillar of light in the fog the edges of your explored areas

I have found too many citadels to bother doing, and only played endgame T15+ for a couple days

Same, over 50 hours 91 lvl 150k kills, never seen citadel, dropped only 2 divs. This league is just trash no drops, thousands bugs and crashes I'm already done with this league if If wanted to work I would go to a work. The only thing to fix that is uninstalling and waiting for 1.0 release

I understand your advice, however, as I mentioned, I can’t see any glowing pillars anywhere on the entire Atlas, and that’s where the problem lies. This is the first time I’ve encountered something like this. If they were at least visible, I would know for sure that they have actually spawned.

FWIW: I'm chiming it to say I feel like I'm in a similar position. Can't see any lasers in any direction through the clouds.

I've found and farmed them in an earlier league so I know what to look for/what they look like.

Level 93, no sign of any as of yet.

Edit: FWIW I've found one, four screens away from the starting point in the south-east. I've been going in other directions for multiple screens and found none; I guess they are much rarer than when I previously played.

Hopefully it's just a rarity issue and not a beam-rendering one.

All of them are north. only ever go north and youll find them because thats where they are. If you dont see any skybeams, just keep going north. works everytime.

Ignore all other directions.

(just pick 1 direction and go in a straight line to uncover them the fastest)

Lvl 93, not a single fucking one. No matter the direction. Scrolling the uncovered Atlas is tedious because of the shere size of it, not a single light beam in sight near the edges of where I am pathing or further out.

The prices of fragments reflect how bad the situation is or they wouldn't be so expensive.

But since rare tablet are hard locked behind horrendous RNG, I will have no other choice but to just buy the boss fight.

Is that really the intended design GGG?

The best way to find citadels is to always move in one direction and not turn anywhere.
