IMO that's a very good thing. Passive-aggressive smiley reactions are really just bad for the overall quality of forums and comment sections and social medias.

In any case - the post is not trolling at all and is based on actual calculations and specific design ideas. There's generally speaking a good reason why many of the newer MMOs and ARPGs have opted to move from damage resistances where percents are additive and hard cap at 75%-90% range to a system where the effective averages hover closer to 50% and where the range is more like 30% to 70%, with the higher end being approached asymptomatically rather than being hard-capped and where above 70% situations are mostly relatively short term buffs or have special conditions like applying to only the next hit or so.

The linearly-to-75% is a relic from D1.

eh, using autism as an insult is pretty low honestly.
Stick to the plan. Prefer offensive builds to kill bosses in 1-2 sec. Then you don't need defences.

Well I was really thinking in the terms of like GW2 or ESO or so. Basically anything after WoW (though even WoW didn't quite use a linear system, but 75%'ish was the soft cap and the general goal anyway. Pretty different damage system tho)
