why am i getting lvl 49 drops as a lvl 90?

#1 thing i hate about this game right now. its frustrating as hell finding good items only for them to be useless cuz low level. same with vendors

If you're talking about level bases for items you can use a loot filter like poe2filter to only show drops of the bases with higher stats like expert or advanced

I know it's not ideal having to do this but at least we can fix it ourselves

no, item level apparently doesn't depend on anything. i was doing a lvl 79+ map. i usually get lvl 59 pos drops but i got real lucky this time and got a 49

yeah i'm using a filter, had to update it. it still shows crappy lvl 60s and i don't wanna spend anymore time on it. theres still the vendor which only sells lvl 49 trash garbage. its so dumb dude lol wtf its liek the devs are actively trolling us

Mostly the best equipment items have a requirement level of 80.

With holding ALT u see the itemLevel itself. Best Tier Mods are locked to itemlevel 82, higher itemlevels will not change the possible of tiers.

U need a filter where u cap the droppped itemlevel of the items, to 79 at least. most mod tiers change their tier at level 79, 81 and than 82 to the best values.

u can check every item at poe2db its a wiki for poe2.

I also sorted the equipment to S and A tier, and made it, that i only see this items at itemlevel 79 for now.

U could use Filterblade to see a Tierlist, or use Maxroll to check all items stats and make your own list.

Even on highest map ull see items dropping with low requirements, but high itemlevel, when ure not changing your filter, to only see best slot items.

The vendors only sell bases of lvl 64~65 maximum, and only the ones from expedition are higher iirc, you can refresh the expedition vendors in your hideout with an exotic coinage

But for drops you can set what item level AND base level you want, expert bases are more or less level 80 and advanced are level 90

If you're still seeing low level items then you didn't set you filter correctly, some items like rings don't have a higher base variant
