0.4.0 "Deadlock Detected"

Same error. 3x today. Insta crashes game.
same here

ryzen 5600
AMD RX 6700 10GB

The game has always run poorly for me; I'm considering quitting because I have random problems in every league and with every configuration. I've even changed operating systems, and everything is still the same. F

im getting same since .4 update, 3x today already
Unplayable - noticed I only got this once getting into Clearfell on a brand new character, but it also happens with existing characters.

Update: old character loaded fine, and it seems any league other than SSF Fate of the Vaal loads Clearfell just fine... maybe it's someone in town? :)

Same issue... Ive been playing without any issues even today... .logged out in Clearfell this morning.. Now I am deadlock trying to load back in.

If I select an old character I can login fine... WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
Got it after 3-4 attempts, and on the last try I ran the game as administrator.... Not logging out in Clearfell anymore.
Hey, same problem here. In my case, when a run the game, its turn in to a weird resolution - something like 1104p, ii dunno - and then, when i switch some resolution, API, or other configuration: boom, the games crash.

AMD processor here too - it seens like a standard in the problem!!
it's actually intel processors too. AMD/Intel, NVIDIA/AMD GPU, Windows/Linux... it's affecting hardware across all vendors, and seems to be operating system agnostic too.
Doesn't matter if it's vulkan or directX12 either.
I think i've fixed it by deleting steam shader caching.

///excerpt from searching:

To delete cached shaders in Steam Path of Exile, follow these steps:

Navigate to the Steam installation directory and delete the contents of the shadercache folder located at Steam\steamapps\shadercache.

Additionally, delete the ShaderCache folders within the game's local data directory, which can be found at Steam\steamapps\common\Path of Exile\.
If using the Steam version, disable shader pre-caching in Steam Settings under Downloads → Shader pre-caching to prevent the game from using pre-cached shaders.

/// end excerpt from searching

so deleting the shader cache ON FIRST BLUSH seems to have fixed my issues. ALT+TAB works now. nothing freezes. this might be the thing.

I think the evidence points to shader caching. someone else delete the shadercache and post here.
