There's something funny about doing an event like this before optimizing the game so people stop crashing all the time.

Kinda feels like the winner is going to be less about who's the fastest and more about who's lucky enough not to crash.
As if the sheer luck of drops and crafting rolls wasn't already going to push victory determination away from skill.

Well. I was gonna say I can't wait to see everyone in the race use the same one build, but then I saw they split the race into characters.
So I guess I can't wait to see everyone use the same 7 builds, depending on which character they do.

Not guna lie, kind of jealous of not having PoE 1 inspired Displates.

7 awards for the people with no jobs and play 24/7, yay, can't wait to not join...

It's sad that there is no participation reward, it would be a good opportunity to do its best.

How many of these have they done with dozens of pages of "where's the participation reward?".

Our feedback doesn't matter.

Well this is it boys. I just quit. No two weeks notice, no email, just walked out mid-meeting while Jim from accounting was still yapping about Q4 projections. For too long I've been grinding in the wrong game. 60+ hours a week in a fluorescent-lit cubicle for what? A 2% annual raise? Meanwhile, there's a helmet MTX with my name on it, and I'll be damned if I let Ben claim what's rightfully mine. I've run the numbers. I've optimized my build. I've got 47 tabs of spreadsheets covering every possible map layout. My wife took the kids to her mother's house (less distractions, more focus time). She left a note that said "get help" but I think she misspelled "get helmet." My family keeps texting me concerned messages but I've muted the group chat... they clearly don't understand what's at stake here. When I get my limited edition hat, they'll understand. I want to preemptively thank GGG for my assured victory and for having the foresight to plan such a perfect event. When I saw GGG wasn't giving hand out participation trophies to the casuals, I knew I had my chance to experience what real winners feel. No consolation prizes for people who only put in 12 hours a day. No MTX for people with "jobs" and "families" and "healthy sleep schedules." Only the top dogs eat, and that's exactly how it should be. My victory will be all the sweeter knowing every single person below me gets absolutely nothing while I bask in the glory.

Whats the point in participating if there are rewards only for top 1% players?
Would be cool if there were smaller rewards.
