Major Endgame Changes in Patch 0.3.1 for Path of Exile 2
Soooooo, only rare mobs still drop anything of value, now you have to search for them in the whole map, nice think Rhoa is going back into everyone's build, btw F the rhoa, make that default movement( we know ure gonna do that in 2 years anyway)

i've been playing for the past few weeks drops were nice i thought 0.3.1 update would even make the drops more but unfortunately they are much lower now and its really rare to find good stuff
i have 90+ rarity on gear and all of my maps have 300+ rarity now but the currency drops are terrible GGG Please fix this it was better before |

Since today's patch, I've been dying all the time, or rather, getting thrown off the Rhoa mount and dying in every map...

Don't know if my feedback will be seen or not but here is the problem with the change so far.
Right now you have to run 6 mod maps or the change hurts you. The way the towers were before is you had to run on 6 mod map to juice your area and then you could run less juiced maps but save yourself from some failure on those juiced maps. You need to either not tie the number of mods to the number of tables you can put in or allow maps to be re run with tablets regardless of failure in the map. If you don't tie map mod to the number of tables you could instead mitigate the strength of this by lowering the inherent bonuses of the tablets but the number of mods multiplies the juice If instead you decide to keep the mod restriction you need to allow the maps to be re run with tablets or ensure a non juiceable map still spawns with content. I understand this means some players will re run the same map over and over again once they have a map layout they like. The reason you need to decide on one of the two is because you are creating a fake hardcore mode in a softcore portion of the game. The 6 mod maps should be a tradeoff that you can make to get a greater reward one way or the other. The other issue I have with this change is that the extra content that generates either isn't there or isn't generating more than one commonly enough. I would also advise putting any content that generates on the maps to be an icon like they previously were on the extra content tab. I would also add the kill rares goal there as well. Even though you can't see the rares anymore you should have an idea on if you missed something on the maps. I think it's a good compromise. |

The fact people are happy about this state of the game is SAD! GGG is fumbling worse than I imagined. We were doing alright up until this league. No way is this game going to be even remotely close to coming out in 2026. They are going backwards with each patch creating even more issues and making bad features EVEN WORSE. The changes are good for people that might play a couple hours a week. But your main player base are over this junk. Im posting this because I want poe2 to be great, but just wow watching this unfold the way it has was 1000% not expected. People at GGG need fired or we need a separate team because you guys clearly don't know what you want to even do with this game. How much worse are you guys going to make the gameplay (mapping, content that does not involve sitting in a hideout profit crafting) before even more people quit. Like it makes no sense, crafting is meta, let's make it even better by nerfing gameplay. LIKE WHAT? Lmao what a joke. TF is the point in running maps? You tell me? Can't even scale the end game in a way that makes sense lmao. So let's make it worse. Dumbos

I think the idea behind the end game changes are solid but I also think the execution is on the border of meh and poor. Many other people have already pointed out that being forced to do 6 mod maps to get the “same ish “ type of juice and you could run however many portals you needed for your build at that time. I use “same ish” type juice and that’s overstating it. On a 3 tower setup I could run for example 45 reduced reroll, 75 percent omen and 1 additional reroll and twice as many reroll with a grand precursor to level up the map…..and that was a solid 3 tower for me and when those rare occasions you found 4 towers that overlapped even maps you could have some fun.
Now I get to pick 3 things the best I can do is what 70 percent omen,40 percent reroll and reroll tablet….oh wait no I can’t run that cause I still have to level up the map…..people may not be complaining much now because I’m sure they are like me and going back to all their old rolled towers to get a little extra juice (which that part was a solid way to roll it out) But over all I like the concept but end game got nerfed MASSSIVE……people just don’t realize it yet. My suggestion that might work is to re-enable being able to tablets in towers but limit it to 1 tablet and the rest can go in the maps. That might be a good solution. |

I really liked the old tower system. I thought It added some kind of puzzle minigame to mapping. It added an interesting layer of logistic planning to the game. Pretty sad to see this gone, I struggle to believe a majority of players did not like it.
