Major Endgame Changes in Patch 0.3.1 for Path of Exile 2

I’m actually a big fan of the tower changes. Tablets were just clogging up my stash tabs, so I’m glad they’re being streamlined. Personally, I’d prefer if towers stayed and the tablets just got stronger when slotted in there. If that were the case though, I’d cap it so only one tablet could be applied directly to a map at a time.

What I don’t like is the new “every map must have a boss” rule. In PoE1 it was nice being able to just run a map, clear mobs and skip the boss if it wasn’t worth the trouble. Forcing a boss kill every single time feels like it takes away some of that choice.

And finally, I’m not a fan of maps always rolling some kind of random content no matter what. There are certain mechanics I just don’t enjoy... and I like being able to avoid them. From the sounds of it, the patch won’t really let us do that anymore, which honestly feels like a step backwards.

Love these changes. Can't wait to try it. Maybe adding atlas tree nodes that allow you to spec into what sort of tablets drop from towers as a way of spicing them up a little under this new system?
somehow, ggg delivers yet again
Modifiers that cause the area to be covered in Chilled/Shocking/Ignited Ground now cause much less ground to be covered. At least 66% of the ground effects currently covering the ground will be removed, this value is higher on lower tier

About bloody time, now if I could only get the game to stop disconnecting every 20 to 30 mins I'd be doing cartwheels...
Bosses in each map is nice, but random spam of extra content not so much.
Towers gone, ok, but maybe they just needed to no overlap.
Tablets are now gonna be annoying to manage in the inventory, but the control is better.
Overall, gives the vibe of a meh change to end game, and more pushing for poe2->poe1, which isnt wanted. Stick to the vision and nerf packsizes across the board, also in tier 15.
Actually you can keep the killing all rares as a map clearing goal as I give 0 shits about map bosses.
this is a good start to progress forward versus this system now

the game is still lacking some relief with movement especially temporal but I think thats just the lack of curse counters which might be presented later.

with how bad Magic find has been (DR) more clarity would be nice on their penalties and no mention of QUANTITY.. i'm on the MF enjoyer side and MF stacking (but having making sure there are penalties; i.e. less dps/survival) as a trade off should be present but most just go with xxx rarity and thats it.

reforging and all these unnecessary clicking of inventory is still among a top concern that i'd like to see addressed asap.
add the map device's inventory from PoE 1 with the tablet change please but otherwise good stuff

You can avoid any of the random content, since you just have to kill the map boss to move on now. If there's a random expedition or something spawning, just run by. You could literally finish a map with just killing 1 enemy now, which is more freedom than before.
