So, are there no more updates for this league?
" My comment (to which you chose to reply) had nothing to do with "impacts on your life or your enjoyment of the game." That's a sloppy strawman. I really don't give two hoots in hard vacuum what you do about it. My recollection of a Path of Exile 2 goes back to 2019, when it was supposed to be an expansion to PoE. Even then, GGG's projections for a "ready to ship" game (based on its state at the time as a PoE expansion, and not what it became) weren't so optimistic as those we were being fed a little over a year ago for Deuce. At the current rate, Path of Dodge Roll appears to be a very long way off from full release ("early access," not incidentally, being the blanket excuse for all the game's unresolved issues and current failings). Simply put, either the Devs didn't know just how much they had bitten off before discovering their inability to chew the work, or they blew smoke up our collective backsides when soliciting paid access to this product. You can mince words and parse semantics all you want, but the game doesn't even have swords, yet, after nine months. Die-hard players aside, I don't expect casual players to muster the kind of long-term patience Deuce will end up demanding of them. This thing was an unnecessary boondoggle, squandering resources and customer goodwill for what appears to me, at least, to be a vanity project serving Johnathan's "vision." Deuce has divided the playerbase (as Chris Wilson predicted at Exilecon 2019, when explaining the initial decision not to make PoE 2 a separate game), angered many PoE fans who expected what was first announced, only to have that taken away, and resources redirected to a game touted as being "better" than PoE, and has increasingly demonstrated a tendency toward merely being a superficially different experience. Many of us knew before EA started what would happen. The same forces which drove PoE to be what it has become would inevitably push Deuce down the "Zoom-zoom, boom-boom" path. And nothing Jonathan and Mark can do will ever change that. The genie is out of the bottle. ...Which makes Deuce redundant and a waste of time, however long it takes to get over the finish line. =9[.]9= =^[.]^= basic (happy/amused) cheetahmoticon: Whiskers/eye/tear-streak/nose/tear-streak/eye/

" They are probably aiming at a duration like 7 Days to Die which had 11 years of EA. |

At this point EA is basically over, we are just getting leagues and content every 4 months like usual. PoE 1 did the same thing in it's early years. You couldn't even map when the game released.. melee was practically unplayable with desync, no asc classes, balance sucked... there was only few acts that you repeated several times.
PoE 1 didn't start off as some masterpiece, it took a long time to build into what we know it as today. You can't just do all that in a single patch... you have to slow cook it over time. PoE 2 will grow into something better and better over time. That stuff will come and hopefully they'll do it right and the game will be great to play. But it's going to take some time to do that. |

They make money at the start of the league and couldn't give a shit about the rest of it.
Better this way, finally more focus on PoE 1 |

They are working on Poe1 and have been for a few weeks now, they constantly have to switch their developers inbetween the games so they effectively have 2 months to develop each league for both games ( i assume its more like 3 for poe2 and 1 for poe1 )
So yeah, think of this what you want, thats how it is |

" Try 5-6 months. This games development is baffling. A total hands off approach, wtf? |

" It will hurt both games big time if they don't assemble dedicated development teams for each. Switching to the other game after two months is no substitute for content updates because a lot of people only care about one of the two games, not both. And this gulf will probably only get wider once POE2 is in a more polished state. |

" it is already hurting both games, not will poe1 league got delayed by 9 months and poe2 development is a complete slog, we got a single new class/weapon in the whole first year of development. They already had multiple delays when they had their whole team dedicated to just poe2, expect it to be even more slow now |

" Wow that's a long time but in the meantime I am enjoying Borderlands 4 and the upcoming packs. Then Diablo 4 S10 is about to drop as well. So I guess it's not bad at all to wait for the next major PoE patch |
