Why should I grind all the way up to late pinnacle bosses to have fun?
Also at the moment higher level pinnacle bosses are 1 try only. So incentivise one shot build instead of a nice long fight where you learn the mechanics.

it doesn't take long at all to farm 150 splinters this season to attempt. If you currency exchange while farming splinters you could have multiple attempts per hour at least. They already nerfed pinnacle bosses into easy mode, if you need it easier than this to begin having fun, well I dunno what to say.
Lord help us if GGG make this all even easier next season

- The blaster: They do not want to engage with the game mechanic and just wants to blast through the game as fast as possible and 1 shot pinnacles.
Blasters with 100000% movement speed bonus would just complain that bosses take too long artificially while everyone else gets stuck doing mechanics the hard way.

I play SSF, I don't like the idea of farming currencies and trading in a game.
SSF is in a good spot since the new crafting systems added to 0.3. But farming 150 splinters or (especially) finding 3 different citadels for 1 try is just not fun. Anyway the endgame needs a complete overhaul.

It may sound counterintuitive but it's not.
hard != frustrating
If you have an hard boss with different mechanics why in the hell shall I have only one try on it?
I am happy to die to a boss 100 times learning the fight, I am not happy farming hours to have 1 attempt. Having more attempts means the fight can be more interesting. The fun part should be fighting the boss not farming.
Killing bosses in 1 shot is not exciting, challenging or rewarding is just boring ( my opinion ).
I can see your point of using at least currency exchange and if the game is not going to change I will probably give up on that. But at the moment we are giving feedback to GGG and I would love a solution that works better in SSF.

the game needs difficult content though, there has to be risk somewhere. I think you will survive being frustrated, especially if you are playing off meta in SSF, you may need to adjust your expectations. Just do T1 and T2 bosses with multiple attempts until your build is strong enough for T3

Absolutely, the game needs difficult content. To achieve that you remove from the game the possibility to kill bosses in few seconds or to be immortal in front of a boss. A top tier build should take few minutes to kill a boss, while an off meta around double the time. Skill should matter at least as much as the build.
As it has been said in this post already you should get less reward after every attempt. So more skilled player that can kill the boss on the first attempt will be rewarded more than someone with an off meta build and less skilled but at least you let them have fun with the boss.

Yeah sure, that's what it is the game right now. I want that to be improved.
On my current run I attempted once a T3 ( King of the Mist ) and I died after 6 minutes due to the horrible visual clarity of the fight ( doesn't help that this league I am playing tactician with mortar and grenades). It was fun, but it will be more fun if I could have tried again straight away.
