What happened to Engaging Combat? Video Feedback.
" Sprint would be a good mechanic combined with slower combat I think, especially on big map layouts. Makes it possible to have slow combat speed, but still traverse distances without problem. But yea, especially the bosses in later campaign just got oneshot, killed most before seeing half of their mechanics, at least from all the builds I played through campaign this league... |

" In isolation sprint is alright, I do like it. "Sigh"

" So you say sprint in isolation is not a problem but it is a problem for the pace of the campaign? Which is it? How can you just sprint and zoom everywhere when you have to kill mobs between? It's not like the packs fall over. The player is not that overtuned. If you buy gear or overlevel or get lucky sure but it's not really the case that every skill does really well all the time or anything. In fact most skills underperform and feel bad throughout the campaign. It is not brainless or zoomy at all on a fresh run Zuletzt bearbeitet von AverBeg7#1689 um 20.09.2025, 09:49:17

" Sprinting just solves the problem you get from big maps if you don't have any zooming builds. You need something to make backtracking through area not annoying. Sprinting is out of combat only, you still need to be careful to avoid falling down aswell. So I don't see any reason this would not work with engaging combat in any way. |

" I didn't say it wouldn't. I am saying the campaign already is engaging and not zoomy. Somebody suggested sprint existing somehow made that not the case. As you say yourself, that is not true as it is out of combat only. If some stage of the campaign is not the pace you are looking to replicate or extend later, then what is? Is there some specific point in the game you can point to and say "like this"? Are we talking about mobs or bosses? I could agree bosses were nerfed a bit too much, but I remember caring a fair amount about what was on my screen in the campaign even on my 2nd run. " How many times do I need to repeat Act 1 of 0.1. That was the closest it's ever been. Not perfect but close. "Sigh"

" So the entire game should be paced like act 1 in 0.1? What were you playing in 0.1? |

" Warrior and Witch. "Sigh"

" Witch contagion was pretty damn good, I mean I didn't mind warrior but I would say a bit too slow in 0.1 for packs in particular before you get it going. Yeah, way too slow for me if that's the whole game. I might play a few hours and be like "eh". I don't really think A2 was easier or zoomier, it was a bit harder. As was A3 compared to A2. The game became a bit of a joke in cruel, but that's pretty well fixed now with A4 and the interlude. I found the pacing in the campaign of this league to be great, just some of the bosses could use a bit more HP after it was nerfed in 0.2 and we got a few player buffs in 0.3. Can't really pin down exactly what you mean anyway. I would say the A1 pacing in 0.3 is fairly comparable to 0.1, people are just better at the game and we've found some good skills to use. If you jump on a warrior and try to homebrew a build it's not gonna be easy. Zuletzt bearbeitet von AverBeg7#1689 um 20.09.2025, 11:27:35
