POE 2 Trade Live Search Not Working

I definitely have not exceeded the 50 searches per 24 hour rate limit, so something has changed. I don't think I had even started a new live search in the last 24 hours prior to my active searches being disabled.

I have not been able to initiate a live search on the same account for ~18 hours. Swapping accounts does let me initiate new live searches, but this is an unsatisfactory solution since I'm not logged in to that account and thus can't use the automated messaging feature.

Not sure exactly what changed, but this new rate limit seems extremely heavy-handed and disruptive for normal player use.

Most likely, it was fixed by GGG, but now many people receive 5-10 searches in a couple of seconds and they are sent to the block for 18 hours.

2) put up 100 things that you are looking for

Umm I'm not sure you understand how this works... Every time you ACTIVATE live search is 1 request. While that connection is active you receive unlimited notifications that items were posted. If you stop the connection aka you deactivate live search and then you activate again it's 1 more request.

Stop spreading misinformation.

The way the trade site limit works is that it’s 50 requests per account in a 24-hour sliding window. That means the server doesn’t reset your counter at midnight, it just always looks back at the last 24 hours from right now and counts how many requests you’ve made in that period. Each request stays on your record for exactly 24 hours and then drops off. So if you did 10 requests yesterday at 9pm, you won’t get those 10 back until 9pm tonight.

The important part is what actually counts as a request. It’s not just when you hit search once. Starting a live search is one request, stopping it then changing a filter and starting it again is another, refreshing is another. Even retries after a timeout eat one. That’s why people run into the cap faster than they think, because every little tweak to the filters or starting and stopping a search eats into that 50.

And it’s per account, not per computer or browser. So switching PCs, browsers, or using a VPN doesn’t matter. Once your account has made 50 requests in the last 24 hours, you’re capped until the oldest ones fall off.

So what the Moderator said was many requests in a short amount of time is around 3 REQUESTS PER HOUR!!!! AND THEN YOU GET BLOCKED. Absolutely crazy...
