YEA some abyss mobs are insanely overtuned
there is one mob that shoots chaos damage like crazy and does some weird aura that drains ur life like crazy and very often u cant even attack him thats insane |

Agree with this post. I actually quite enjoy the activity that is Abyss, but some of these rares are comically overtuned.

Abyss was totally manageable for me in previous seasons when I was playing ranged builds. This season I’m playing melee, and the difference is night and day.
I’m level 86, clearing tier 15 maps and map bosses without issue. Survivability feels fine everywhere else. The only place I die repeatedly is to Abyss rares. The problem is not raw difficulty. It’s that melee characters are forced to stand inside overlapping ground effects, auras, and long-range abilities just to deal damage. Many Abyss rares combine immunity windows, persistent damage zones, and screen-wide attacks in a way that leaves no safe melee uptime. On ranged builds, you can disengage and reposition. On melee, you often have to choose between doing damage or instantly dying. This makes Abyss feel less like a skill check and more like a positional mismatch for melee, even when the build is otherwise endgame-viable. I enjoy Abyss as content, but right now it feels disproportionately punishing for melee compared to everything else in maps. |
