Plunder's Point Reset

Yea. So much work to get here. Feels like a big loss. Dropping the game for now. Just too much of a grind.

Looks like Plunders' Point is a great test to see who can learn from their failures and move on and who [redacted].
Like what do you think you really missed out on? It's designed as a teaching/learning moment.

IT'S NOT REALLY FOR YOU TO LOOT!!!!

I guess this is the new normal. This is the coddled ̶g̶a̶m̶b̶l̶e̶r̶ "gamer" audience. This is the clientele GGG *must* cater to, as evidenced by the Tavern Talk w/ Brian Weissman where he can't provide anything more than a simple quick answer w/o getting interrupted and/or shouted down.
Don't get lost by being so focused on the target that you forget to enjoy your surroundings.

I died because I underestimated the mobs and rares on the island which up to this point I was clearing very swiftly, and honestly fair enough I have no problem with losing the rewards for dying.
I would however appreciate the game acknowledging failure or any sort of feedback rather than just leaving the entire island empty and leaving me confused as to what happened or did I bug out, especially for newer players like me who haven't encountered a mechanic like that. It could be as simple as a chat log notice or keeping Dannig on the island to say something like "Hey you died, expeditions are dangerous, risk vs reward etc." As it stands currently It feels completely disconnected and blank with zero closure to the quest experience, specially coming off a multi quest-chain to put together the map only to die on the island and the game going completely silent, assuming new players will realise what happened. |
