POE 2 / 0.3.0 Bug Report / distorted and crackling Sound Issues
Same issue. I first noticed with the loading screen. The music stutters as it loads.
I then noticed a lot of the dialogue stuttering. Words repeating and sentences being clipped short. This is particularly bad when dialogue is running during combat. I've hit the end game now and the sound is often really mangled. I am running a lich and often have over a dozen minions fighting for me so I am sure there is a lot for the game to think about but during a lot of combat the sound just gives up. It's almost worth playing with it muted. I have noticed this is particularly bad around abysmal areas but on some maps it's everywhere. Usually coupled with a really bad frame rate. The burning farmlands maps in particular are barely worth running. Certainly no fun. On a side note, these burning farmland maps are a visual migraine. I think you need to tone them back for playability. |

Any better with the update?
Just a guy with a long-running history with aRPGs that is giving POE2 a try.

Having the same issue since the beginning of the league. Terrible crackling and makes the game unplayable with sound effects on. Sounds like audio is getting overwhelmed as different sounds occur at the same time.
Playing Witch, Litch with ravenous swarm and contagion. |

" Is this still getting looked into? Because it's still very much happening. Thanks for checking it out and trying to find a fix! League/game is v fun! |

I have the same issue with a new Witch character (fresh install of the game in a new computer).
The minions raised by Unearth seem to be causing a distorting/crackling sound, similar to blown up speakers. I have the feeling it's the sound they make as they walk... It wasn't like this when I last played in February. I tried changing all the audio options, issue remained. Saw some old post saying to change to Vulcan, that didn't do anything either. The audio issue happens either with my laptop outputting to TV via hdmi; or using its internal speakers; or using headphone. |
