It's early access still and like half the game isn't even out yet. You guys sound like petulant children.

I get that and all but honestly how much has been added since December? 99% of updates are bug fixes that don't work and add new ones. There was like 5 patches alone for the LUNE playing sound (which I still cant hear). They added some uniques (most of which are bad and not used) ONE CLASS and that's about it. This is why people are upset. They are becoming the MEME that LE is with their patches taking so long.

A lot has been changed/added to make the game better. Not going to look it all up and post it for you, either pay attention or be salty for no reason. /shrug

Put a couple hundred hours into the game and bought the supporter pack because I enjoyed POE1. There's a lot of common complaints and people justifying it when the fix seems simple enough.

Caveat to a majority of the issues is that it's in Early Access. However early Access expectations is that we should have access to more builds, more gear types, more accessibility to content to stress test/balance the game for launch. This is basic summary of the following other gripes I have with where the game is:

- The game as a whole has a RNG problem, while RNG is fun, there's no fun in 90-99% of the loot being useless. In SSF, almost all my gearing has been from the loop of level up -> check vendor. In Standard, almost all my gear has been from market.

- Tied to the loot RNG problem is the "Crafting" issue. There's almost no excitement in picking up max ilvl whites cause 90-99% of the time, you'll be wasting your currency.

- Ascendency: having a pretty substantial part of a build be gated for most people behind a tedious mechanic/content after a lot of bad RNG means you're going to only see a few meta builds and not actual testing of a breadth of builds/playstyles/etc. Or forcing people to pay to be carried, which completely eliminates the tedious mechanic and rewards people that don't want to engage in the tedious mechanic.

- Lack of payoff/sense of reward, in the campaign, rushing through from point of interest to point of interest is sufficient since you're unlikely to get a good drop from engaging in the full map. End Game is just about juicing maps for max currency so you can buy equipment.

All in, I've enjoyed the other parts of the game, but find it rough that Grinding Gear Games has made gear grinding torturous. From all the other feedback, I'll likely be trying Last Epoch at some point because it sounds like it'll scratch the itch that POE2 made itchier in its current form.

Its just that no one wants to play the game, they want to win by following a streamers build. Guess what U are not a streamer u are not finding or getting all the items they do. How many times have you started a character and just played the game and tested the builds limits and weakness and then trying to perfect it the next league. Thats exactley what I do, Im not elite and I dont care, I usually start over around level 75- 80 just cause Ive made it to maps and got as far as I care to go. I prefer finding items and starting over and trying new builds. The game is great IMO - I cant wait for the Beta to be over and the full game released..
In game since Minotaur League..

The game has warts which could be addressed and made better if those warts are actively addressed.

If you've made multiple characters then you've experienced multitudes of drops that aren't any better than Vendor gear or gear crafted by others. You've also likely experienced using currency on tier 4+ ilvl 80+ gear with T1 rolls after identify only to get T5/6 garbage rolls then using chaos to see those T1 rolls get swapped.

You may suggest looking for Omens, but even with the atlas changed for more rituals getting the right omen to drop is a full day's affair, which unless you're a streamer, makes it very difficult to craft.

So while I agree that people are attempting to compare their builds to streamers/youtuber builds, there's a problem when people that come on here saying they aren't playing that way, are being gaslit into believing the game is in a good place.

The game has issues, sure, but it is not a bad game. It is the best ARPG I've played so far over 3 decades.

Then either you've haven't played many ARPG or you don't like ARPGs.

Everybody has their own taste. Mine being different does not make me NOT like RPGs. I top the ladders on HC on everything I touch. Who the F are you?
HC SSF. What else? Ruthless when?

Again most of which is bug fixes and tweaks. Not ADDITIONS. That is the point I was making. I have read the notes and have been checking at least once a day on patch notes for the past month. Guess what, NOTHING. With them saying 6-12 months and in the first 6 months we have not even had half of what was missing is concerning. Im glad they are trying to keep both games alive and updated and they are trying to keep their word but it wont work with the team they have.

They either have been sandbagging releases saying it takes 4 months or they wont be able to keep both games updated every 4 months. You cant do twice the work in half the time out of no where.

So again, either they purposely were dragging this EA/Beta out or they will be releasing small/broken updates now.

Game will be in EA for at least two years. Building something that size takes a long time.

Either it's unfinished in 2 years and released as-is or they take 4 years to make it into a real contender.

I think in about 2 years it will be the best ARPG ever made. The foundation is phenomenal.

Frankly, most people put in hundreds of hours before 0.2.1, so they're salty. I waited until after 0.2.1 to play every day, and I'm having a great time. If people reviewed the game as it stands in 0.2.1, they'd be a lot happier.
