Clearfell Encampment - Palisade Training Grounds
I would like to propose in Clearfell Encampment (Act 1 town), there is a new small area accessed while in town named "Palisade Training Grounds." This area is enclosed with a palisade, which is a defensive fortification made of large wooden stakes commonly used in frontier outposts (shown below). This area is illuminated by several torches, and contains a training dummy and your stash. This would allow players to test new skills and their character's damage output.
Training Dummy Options * select monster type- select normal, magic, rare, or boss * select monster resistance- select balanced, fire, cold, lightning, chaos * select monster level- select from +0 to +5 of your character's level (this ensures training dummy continuously scales with your character) Palisade Training Grounds Concept Art ![]() Zuletzt bearbeitet von CharlesJT#7681 um 18.08.2025, 10:49:58 Zuletzt angestoßen am 18.08.2025, 15:45:32

That's what we ALL want
However, why would you think they'll provide this, when they won't even let you see damage source and statistics when you die? |

" They did add small damage numbers to the boss health bar, so think this idea would be consistent with GGG vision. |

+1 bring something to test skills.

+1. No point upgrading gems without noticing the difference in practice. Also some gems have bugged tooltip and it's impossible to know if working or not.
Therefore need this training dummy for practicing. Why is difficult for you to bring us a doll? |

" I've often wondered the same thing. |

Way back in PoE1 when Delirium was released I read something about GGG implementing a "Simulacrum" and I was like F I N A L L Y, a testing ground for skills!
But alas, the name was misleading, and I soon realized it was not what I thought it was. Sometimes it would be nice to see how far some things "feel" in practice before testing in combat in PoE2, even moreso than in PoE1. Imagine a test dummy that you can set to mimic any rarity mob and then inflict ailments and CC on and it has the "damage dealt" numbers on it's "HP bar" (which just refills, or never moves) similar to how we can see the numbers while fighting bosses. " Lets say you want test a skill with different runes. When special condition applied to damage is impossible to notice the difference. It needs calculations in paper. If a tooltip is broken then its even harder to make calculations. The training grounds reveal these issues. It's essential not only for players but also for Devs knowledge. Maybe it has to be done a lot of work before bringing such a doll in game. But i don't see a reason behind Dev's resignation! Zuletzt bearbeitet von Irin77#4248 um 13.08.2025, 00:54:32

" The calculation all the time is a boring procedure! We need that damn Doll badly.... |
