Though I hope it doesn't get too crazy with the loot (sounds like this is incremental, which I'm thankful for). I know it's touchy and people are being VERY loud about it, but I'm hoping it's just these folks on "unlucky" streaks because for me at least, it's super good right now, balanced between not being a loot pinata fest vs. nothing at all. I feel like I've gotten more currency, specifically, this league than I expected.

I dunno, I just think some folks are meme-ing and being loud while most people aren't having an issue with it but are quieter.

BY THE WAY, SSF NEEDS AN INCREASED LOOT DROP OVERHAUL, HIGHER THAN STANDARD AND PEOPLE WHO CHOOSE SSF SHOULD BE LOCKED IN THAT MODE!

I will make a longer format feedback post, but these changes in no way will improve the loot experience for any player whatsoever. This is a small subsection of the greater loot problem which is a significant quantity decrease compared to .1 and a massive decrease in loot "quality" (not rarity - no one wants to identify 6000 rares for 5999 of them to be worthless trash). To clarify, when I use the term "quality" I am referring to the item's "power" - which can be easily and obviously defined as it's mod tier rolls and cohesion (not rolling phys + ele mods or whatever). This is absolutely ignoring the broader loot problem in this game that is fundamental.

Loot 2.0 needs to be a top priority. The majority of players don't want POE1 levels of items in their maps - they simply want their time to be valued by the game in a way that is commensurate with the level of effort given. Give us better quality of loot and buff the quantity slightly (20% should do it) baseline. Tie loot "quality" to map mods and game difficulty strictly. Player rarity can give you more swings at those "quality" pieces but, the current tiering system of loot is deeply flawed.

You quickly run into issues of tier 5 loot being worthless. I would say this happens within 12 hours of tier 15 mapping with tower + tablet influence. In POE1 loot is even more worthless but it's offset by the consistency of currency drops. You can at least work toward your item goals in a trade league. This simply isn't the case in POE2.

Loot needs a drastic overhaul. Improve base quantity by 20%. Improve loot "quality" by a large margin so that loot feels meaningful in this game. Loot 2.0 please.

Also, as an aside, Wisps are mechanically terrible in maps. They often pick the "wrong" rare to travel to and not the closest one, offscreening rares is a real functional issue, and it just feels like a worse version of tempest. Further, having to "hunt" for them is incredibly bad - you can simply miss it in some random corner and not wisp mobs. Truly a horrible design.

Solution: Have wisps spawn near the entrance portal to maps. Hit it. It affects x mobs and rares. Done. Sometimes you get 2/3 wisps at the entrance for the sake of RNG that GGG likes so much.

This is great, but map juicing needs a major overhaul as well.

The atlas passive tree needs more exciting nodes, and all of them need to be more impactfull. Currently most of the atlas passives don't feel they do anything. Shifting more of the juice to the atlas tree, and away from map/tablet rolling would be a welcome change.

About time they acknowledged the main issue of the game right now, but this should have been fix the last 2 patches, way over due. I do appreciate you guys finally working on it. Every league mechanic and loot drops need huge buffs. This game is all about currency, everything revolves around it. There shouldn’t be a huge problem finding it. Juicing my maps and still not finding divines is a huge problem
I love all of these "It's too late" comments. Like people seriously didn't hold out for like 5 years for no mans sky to get good, and these people will go back to d4 and other games. The game isn't that bad at all and the drops are fine. If you're having issues at this point this game probably isn't for you. I'm not even good at this game and I'm enjoying it just fine, and I'm even a dad gamer that barely has time to play.
