Losing way too much exp on death in end game

I been playing this game since year after poe 1 released, game wasn't like this even early access released but this new down of the hunt league was totally wasted about to leave poe. feel like an impossible mission game is not poe, even with all top gears equipped still can not level up due to one shot. completing the act was so hard made through getting help from other players to clear.

2. REDUCE the loss of XP on death by another 5%.

I disagree that the key is in reduction. Balancing the lack of defenses and huge mob damage with a reduction of xp loss would be/as is very hard and frustrating. Removing this variable all together is the way to go.

They surely have the stats. If 0.00001% of the population now ever got to 100, if they remove the xp penalty that percent would likely go to 0.0001%. Very few people have the patience for that kind of grind.

This mechanic only adds frustration to the game.
Late to the party here, however considering my current experience (pun maybe intended), I feel I need to offer an opinion regarding this matter.

I already hoped that an alternative penalty for in game death aside from xp loss would be implemented, at least for poe2, but the path of least resistance was taken and it was left the same as its predecessor. This, in my perhaps not so humble opinion, needs to change, though I strongly suspect it will not.

I could also go into a diatribe about unbalanced end game mechanics resulting in unwarranted waystone deaths, but want to keep this post as much on topic as possible. I will say that several times I have lost xp due to degen monsters that constantly teleport to your location immediately dropping their degen again preventing any possible means of escape. And that is just one of a number of things.

In summary, I would offer a couple of suggestions for potential solutions.

1. Change the xp penalty to not only a lower amount per death but also implement a more staggered approach. Meaning that when you die you do receive an xp penalty in the form of a reduction in the amount of xp gained per kill until the xp "debt" is paid without reducing the players actual amount of xp progress. Some mmorpg's have used this system successfully.

2. While I have never been a fan of the poe xp debt implementation I did realize that some alternative was needed since in poe1 at least there originally was no form of basic currency (gold, silver, etc.) as found in nearly all other games and it would have been difficult to use loss of in game crafting currencies as a penalty.

However, now that both games have implemented gold I believe that using either a direct amount lost on death, or using a gear repair system costing gold could be a possibility and would also maintain a constant penalty across the board instead of have players get little to no penalty after recently leveling or else having reached level 100. I realize it could be argued about what happens if a player runs out of currency to pay the debt, but there are ways that can be handled that I wont get into here as this post is already longer than both myself and its readers had hoped.

In short, please consider alternatives to the current system.
Thanks
