I've been having issues in mid game where my loot is disappearing. I'll have skill gems drop with runes or something, I grab one thin and everything else vanishes....

Remember everyone -- this is a free pre-alpha that didn't take all resources away from a game we all love. Finally addressing a wildly frustrating map-size issue that would have been obvious and at the top of the list for even a non-gamer play-tester on day one should make everyone happy now.
The 'view staff posts' button does seem to remain broken though. There were ~120 pages of rage posts on the 'what we're working on' thread and the only staff post is the OP.
There's no way the economy isn't permanently hosed from the ritual tablet. People sprinting the launch who are clever enough to farm full divine+ screens of ritual rewards for many hours have smurfed/traded/transferred more wealth than everyone else combined. SSF trade league let's go!
Ummm... it's not free. $30 + mtx is not free, pal.

The Freedom of Faith Unique Tablet now has "Can Reroll Favours at Ritual Altars in your Maps twice as many times" (from being able to reroll them infinitely). This affects existing versions of the item, as well as existing maps influenced by this tablet. This change is in the wake of an item exploit that was occurring, the exploit was fixed approximately 8 hours ago preventing any further abuse and we are currently in the process of banning those who abused it and removing the wealth generated by it from the economy.
Banning people for what ? It wasn't bug... Everything was working as intened by game creators. All fault is on GGG in this case.

It's not fair to ban players who literally used in-game items exactly as their descriptions stated. This is very different from something like "instance resetting" in the previous league. There's a clear distinction between exploiting code bugs and following item mechanics that were described in plain text — the issue here isn't abuse, it's your lack of testing and oversight. Removing the extra items from the economy is fine, but the players who discovered this did a better job testing the game than your entire team — you should be thanking them.

But anyone and their mother doing it knows they are exploiting something that is clearly not intended, you absolutely deserve to get banned for abusing this.
You're literally sitting there spamming one button and printing mirrors doing nothing and you think thats ok because its a "clever use of game mechanics" ? like come on dude.

GGG knew this item existed. they knew with AN RNG SYSTEM multiple maps with rituals COULD EVENTUALLY OVERLAP and then they knew you can lower the reroll cost for favors. THIS IS THEIR FAULT THE PLAYERS WHO DID THIS DIDNT BUG ANYTHING. THEY FUCKING READ WHAT THE GAME SAYS

You're banning people again or being able to read and do math? They just used an item you put in the game, in the way you intended, to the obvious conclusion it would result in, and now they're banned? So glad I'm not playing this version of the game so I don't get banned for trying to *checks notes* juice my maps.

Once again, report an exploit, don’t abuse it, and you won’t get banned.
What part of this don’t you guys understand?
Obvious to every single person with a functioning brain that this was not how it was intended.
Semantics won’t help your case.
Now in terms of bans, perm would be much maybe, i think they got a temp probably.
But the wipe of all items was 100% necessarry to save the economy.
Everyone who defends this action feels suspicious to me.
