FOR THE LOVE OF GOD GGG Make the Campaign World Map static
I have played the campaign on about 14 different characters. And each time I go into Act II (but its a thing in Act I also) the entire world map has shifted.
Keth isnt where Keth used to be God help you if you are trying to find the Caravan quickly Mastidon Badlands moves North to South in random fashion... NOTHING STAYS THE SAME. STOP IT. you want the maps to have different N-S-E-W entrances/Exits, FINE.... but STOP changing the world map! (And this isnt even getting into the clusterF**K that is trying to move around in Act III after you have completed it to help a friend out....) Zuletzt angestoßen am 11.02.2025, 14:20:23

I feel the opposite, I like if I go back in the next day the map might be different. It is one thing that breaks the tedium of doing it more than once.

This falls under the classical error of companies assuming things on behalf of their customers.
The campaign map is awful. Visually cluttered to a point where it's obnoxious. It's hard to see the rares/bosses icons in the map. Not to mention it takes an unbearable amount of time to load (considering it's literally just a campaign map, which is usually instant in any game). What GGG thinks most people want: cool map, full of visuals, dynamic... What most people actually want: functional and responsive UI. Just make the map background a clean and static image. Cities and zones stay on the same place every time. The Atlas is the same: so much visual clutter going over node connections, etc. Sure, it looks very good the first time you look at it, but it gets stale and annoying very quickly when you're playing. And don't get me started on the caravan map. It kind of pisses me off GGG wasted time on that reinvention of the wheel instead of putting dev hours into releasing more content or properly testing/balancing their game... This is interesting they made it only for A2.
Maybe they had some deeper ideas for it but ended up with this strange version. |

" It's not called different, just the changes in directions and positions don't mean it is different. These are just meaningless changes and brings no new game experiences. |

Procedurally generated maps are ok for keeping things fresh only if they are not boring convoluted slogs with snail's pace movement. PoE2 campaign areas and maps suck. The design of the doge roll to use as little space as possible is probably partly due to the poor environment design.

At least on console there's a button to fast travel to town while on the map. Y ON XBOX

Please don't make it static.

If anything maps are way too static right now, not enough randomness in the layouts.

Nope, I like the randomness, hate the constant spammy PoE1 repetitive BS.
