CPU, as well as a funny story by the developers
In the latest news from the developer about the work done, I read this:
" That is, the developer considers the main problem to be Windows update first, and then failures on the part of the GPU... At first I laughed hysterically for a very long time, and then my condition changed to apathetic. I suddenly realized that the reality of the players and the reality of the developers did not fit together. Does this remind you of the story about the developers of a small cult indie company with a similar game? I'll explain everything now. It's no secret to any of the real players that the most important problem in game performance is unstable CPU operation, which is a strong problem of the UE engine, and it always has been. This is a problem until the developer solves the problem with the shaders and sews them tightly, that's the reality of UE, alas. But it would have been fine if the developer had directly, in plain text, reported this problem. But no. The developers deliberately ignore this problem, it is clear from the developers that they do not want to deal with this issue. That's because it will take a lot of human and technical resources to solve this problem. Let's be honest and stop praising developers for being able to admit their mistakes in minor bugs, because they keep silent about real and really critical bugs. I can't play this game with the feeling of a bucket of lies being poured on my head. Unfortunately, I'm leaving until the CPU performance issues are resolved. I wish developers to become honest with their audience and solve problems with real priorities, not to be lazy. And I wish the community of the game not to waste their time on lies. I hope that this message will have some positive effect on the conscience of the developers. P.S. my CPU is AMD Ryzen 5 7500f, GPU RTX 3060ti, 32gb ddr5. I have a stable 100-160 frames per second. But I have something to compare it with. In some games like this, the performance is around 200+ frames without CPU drawdowns. I would not have started this topic if the developers had not ignored the problem with shader miscalculation, and as a result, the unstable operation of the CPU. they didnt lie it was a window issue for a lot of people. For myself the issue was resolved in the lastest windows patch ( MS even mention the issue it causes in the patch notes..)
I also think their last POE patch also fixed this issue for a lot of people , as you can see by the thread dedicated to the "freeze issue" has mostly stopped getting new reports I'm sorry you still have this issue but you rant calling them liars isnt going ot help reslove it |

" Log in to the game right now and look at the CPU performance graph. There should be a flat strip. Will you see her? For some reason, I couldn't see it either, even after the update. Oh yes, it can be fixed by parallel CPU load. Hmm, do the developers know this? I think yes. Why haven't measures been taken yet? Hm.... Probably because it takes a lot of resources, manpower, and money to really solve this problem? It's not about crashes and Windows updates. This problem was there from the start, this problem is in the UE itself, but it is being solved. My system is Windows 10. Zuletzt bearbeitet von ОлежаТанк#0797 um 10.02.2025, 05:56:59

i logged in, saw the performance graph it's fine?

" Is it stable? If that's the case, then it looks like you're lucky, you've come across a unique processor that was designed to address the specifics in the UE code. |

Microsoft is notorious for putting out bad updates. Even if it's a scapegoat it's an easy one.
I feel around 50% of updates I have to roll back and force it to wait for the next update that fixes whatever they scuffed. Luckily 24H2 won't install because I'm using a later version of Explorer override so I don't have to deal with updates till I feel like it. Which is how it should be. Windows 11 installed in my sleep and wrecked about 50% of my data that I couldn't recover because it saw my old storage drive RAID-0 as two separate drives. This is because they're older drives that use their own RAID controller before windows boots. Sadly my boot sector backup was on a 3.5 floppy and degraded. EDIT: Also to be fair a lot of players complaining about heat and crashing often have factory default settings which is a bad thing these days. I helped a friend out with this and they no longer crash. By default a lot of Motherboards are cranking voltage through CPUs. Far more than they need and so they have to be manually calibrated for both heat and stability issues. " These are never 100% stable,... they always have some kind of peak. The most and biggest issues of having CPUs literally break, are mostly solved. So what is your point? I am playing on a literal Laptop with an Ryzen 5 5600H. Pretty sure that this is not a unique spec of any sorts and also not a very powerful one. Maybe your CPU is the unique one that not any game works well with it? And btw you responded in your pure rage bait 2 times to @andred#5148. |

" I also had performance issue and freezes since launch and everything was fix last update 1.1c Also the problem was really with some Windows Update, how I confirmed this is through each of my friends where I asked them what windows and build no. they have, and everyone of them is not updated and everyone was running smoothly without any hiccup. I never wanted on going back on an updated because of the performance boost of every AMD chipset 7th/9th. btw have you tried just re-0installing your system(Windows Reset without affect your files)? maybe you've had so much in your system already that it's affecting your games and by that you're just blaming them. The game doesn't really use much CPU usage during gameplays with that 7000series of yours, something's wrong with your PC. I've been running PoE2 with 6cores, even 4 before the updated and it really didn't affect that much, it's just now that I just turned everything on. I'm running on a 7800X3D/2070S/32gb |

GGG does not say explicitly that there are ALSO issues for lacking of optimization for two reasons:
1) They should explicitly confirm a real problem that exists and for a lot of people they should spend money, resources and time to improve performance. Money, time and resources that they DON'T want to spend. Why? You know the answer. 2) "Hundreds of thousands of people play it. If you have any issues it's just your fault because your PC is old." Or "I have no problem, I have 600 hours, I have blabla *hardware list*) It's as if they wanted to "turn off" this issues, as if they wanted to minimize this problem, to make all people believe that there are no issues at all with lack of optimization. And for "they" I talk about: -People who have very low standards (so true) -People who don't understand nothing about this problem (so true) -People that spent "$ 4.000" for a Computer and "I have no issues" (so true) -Generic toxic people (so so true) -I don't care, the problem exists and is still there And with "Lack of optimization" I usually talk about Stalker 2. Remember when Stalker 2 came out? It was unplayable. There was literally no optimization. I tried it and at the beginning I had like 30 fps. After a few weeks they did 2 or 3 patches. Everything is good now. They spent money, resources and time to improve a game that hundreds of thousands of people spent money on (all time peak was 121.335 players). So saying "It's Windows 11's fault" they wanna "shifts" the problem to something for which "they are not responsible". However, this is not the case. Everywhere (here, Reddit, Twitter) many people are complaining about this problem; people with high end hardware and (lol) with Consoles. I have opened a ticket for this problem and I have an hardware better than recommended (My ticket is still ignored since 9 December 2024). This is my hardware: i5-10600KF CPU 4.10GHz Nvidia RTX 2060 12 GB 32 GB Ram SSD I tried everything, every settings, every upscaling, every resolution. Everything is up to date and I'm using Windows 10. Everything seems smooth but with Rituals, Breach, a lot of enemies/minions/flames/clutters...everything starts stutters with frame drops. I'm seeing the same issues as in Path of Exile 1. Fortunately the game was given to me as a gift and even if it is a bad "copy/paste" of Path of Exile 1 (MY OPINION) I would have played it anyway. But not now and not like this. |
