GGG, Your Poe 2 Trade Site is Ruining the Experience
I'm a PoE1 veteran who's played the game on and off since Open Beta. Even after the introduction of trade sites (and then the official trade API), I've wanted to be able to buy and sell straight from our inventories. The number of fun, novel interactions I've had while trading are far outweighed by the impersonal (at best) and downright hostile (at worst).
For what it's worth, I traded in Diablo 2 as well. Fun memories of getting scammed out of runes aside, there's really no need for that level of friction to still exist in a game that's made explicitly around optimizing your wealth income. The currency exchange is a great start. I'm sure very few people miss trading bulk stacks of exalts and lower-tier currency just to convert them. Now, let's finish the job by adding a market board. " I've wanted this for ages. The only people who lose out are scammers and RMT botters. Zuletzt bearbeitet von Gwonam#5505 um 03.02.2025, 23:49:07

Been having trouble with no response whispers myself so i agree with alot of the ideas here.
My thought was the auto trade. maybe having a separate stash where the items you buy go. going into the stash it could have the item locked and you drop the payment into the item once full payment it's grab-able. this way the only people taking time are the people buying, and you never have to worry about someone not responding. However, i'm just thinking now what if multiple people try to buy it at once, or buy something but never pay for it could cause some issues. could put a 5 minute timer on the buy. no reason for someone to buy something then log out for a week. If you don't pay you can't try to rebuy it for 24hrs. Devs could easily track accounts that are not putting payment through. To keep bots from doing it constantly. I do also like the idea of costing something to list. But having it be refunded once sold. losing it if you pull off market. but still will run into people listing and just buying it back off another account to get around it. I do think something should be done. because the honest people trying to buy are the ones getting their time wasted. I have a friend who sells stuff almost everyday. Have no real issue having him leave a map for 1 minute to sell something. But selling something every 5 minutes would become a pain. ------------------------------------------------- I did read through some of the ggg post about how auto trade makes people craft less because they can just buy what they want. However, I think they want it both ways and you can't do that. Either the trading works well and some people use currency to buy and others craft. or trading is junk and noone trades anymore. So if they want trading they need to make it work right. Otherwise remove it and everyone can craft their own stuff. |

I've come to hope they do add an AH so people can see what price fixing is really like with instant buyout lol

" If you really wanted to prevent price flipping, you'd add a Bind-on-Trade restriction to items after they've been traded once. Most people would hate this, though. |

Or just put the AH in the game where it belongs. It can't be that hard.

" Lot of players want the AH back. |
