The Poe 1 League will last a week with most players, then drop to 5%, the priority is Poe 2.

The question is for players who want Poe League 1 and are not interested in advancing and improving Poe 2.
Why do they need a Path of Exile League 1 if it's only going to last a week with the majority of players and then drop from 100% to 10/5% active players or less?
If the creators need money for their expenses and to keep improving Path of Exile 2, they will surely enable Poe League 1 and I'd rather they speed up the release of a Path of Exile League 2 than have a rushed Path of Exile League 1 in a short time because a minority bothers the creators.

GG should focus on Poe 2 using 90% of their employees and only use 10% for Poe 1 by putting 10% of the leagues in one and in their next league another 10% of different leagues in one and so on until they reach 100% and then repeat the same for those who only want to play Path of exile 1.

The ones affected by not having a Path of Exile 1 League are the streamers who compete for money and create events and make content supposedly showing builds that they create, when in reality they copy and modify the same one a bit..

Yeah we better think of the streamers paychecks, Not the people who are actually playing PoE1 right now who are definitely not affected in any way.

I think they should retire now, and abandon both POE 1 and POE 2, they are not in a position to maintain these two games at the previous level, it is better for them to enjoy the money they have earned and let those who know and want to make good games make them. Because apart from OP and some others, people do not want to play Poe-2, they want to play 3.26 of Poe-1. Poe-2 entertained me for a month, but it seems like another Diablo-3 to me, which I will not play again.

idk why people are so obsessed with "seasons"

look at all the seasonal based games.. people only play them for a couple of weeks at most.

if all people care about is the "seasonal content" just get rid of seasons and add the seasonal content directly to the main game

makes no damn sense making the people who dont want to "start from scratch" keep having to, just so they can play the seasonal content..

just get rid of seasonal content.. and start adding new content to the game every few months without a reset.

The way they make their money is by releasing leagues and players subsequently buying supporter packs. I don't have a source handy, but I recall Chris once saying the vast majority of their revenue comes in during that first week of each league. It doesn't matter so much whether players bail after the first few days, so long as they buy supporter packs and return for the next league (to buy another pack then).

POE 1 has a proven revenue stream, a group of players that buy packs every league. So yes, it's important to them to get a league out the door. They're currently riding off revenue from the EA key packs, but there's no guarantee that revenue will continue or be as reliable. If you'll notice the pattern in the forums, the majority of negative feedback on POE 2 EA is coming from players with a lot of icons, a lot of supporter packs to their name. A lot of the positive feedback (or at least the 'go away, go play poe 1 and let us have poe 2' types) is coming from folks with no packs to their name. (Which in itself is interesting since this is a paid EA). If I were a bean counter at GGG, I'd find that very concerning.

This is coming from someone who has thus far found POE 2 fun but pretty flawed. I'm looking forward to 0.2.0 and the improvements they'll make. But also want to see a POE 1 league again soon.

That's why there is a reset. For more than a decade people enjoyed a reset from time to time.
In PoE 1 i set a goal to achive, i reach it and i gamble all my items and quit and it's all good.

Considering how easy it is to get exalts what makes you think POE2 leagues will be longer?
