Bumping. We need an auction house definitely. Anyone who is against this idea are mostly the once who are scamming in game.

Not sure if it's been said yet as there are so many posts, but the current "trade" system is HEAVILY biased toward botters, scammers, and other less-scrupulous individuals posting items but never actually selling them to trick others into posting theirs for far less than they're worth.
The original PoE1 on PS4 came with an auction house system. It wasn't perfect, the filters were weak at best, but it DID let you purchase the item directly, and it DID allow players who only get a few hours of online time per day to actually sell some of the items they found since they were almost always offline when the trades happened. The only reason I can see that GGG would have changed that original system is because they themselves wanted some sort of advantage within the game. The people designing the systems are the same people who are exploiting it for profit. They are very likely the RMT players spamming messages that they are selling orbs, AND are also very likely the same players who keep hiking up the prices of end-game gear to beyond farm-able prices so that players are actually FORCED to RMT orbs in order to get the gear they need to be viable in end-game content. From what I can see it is a very sick and predatory system designed and implemented by a pseudo-criminal organization specifically for the purpose of exploitation and coercion of their player base. If GGG continues to refuse to put in a fair trading system I can only assume that my above assertions are correct and GGG Devs are likely the ones scamming their own player base daily. " It's the monetization that some of these people have that they don't want to lose. Real money traders don't want to lose their cash-cow. So any topic about auction houses, they come out in droves and complan it would be bad to GGG. Anyone that argues an auction house would be bad for a video game, has some type of monetization gain from the current system, and changing that hurts them in some way. Like really, Most here say they love the current system, but if that's the case, why aren't they in the game playing over watching the forums? You can't do both. GGG should stop spending (wasting) resources (my opinion) on developing the website any further for trades. POE 2 should have everything accessible inside the game, directly! I want my money I send to GGG to be used on ingame resources. Current trade leads too, Wasted time (mostly) with mindless searching. People fixing the market by either, A: Bots set on certain items (ping ding ping ding ding ping the second you put it for sale). B: User placing items that they have no plan to sell, so the unexpected (new user) sells cheaper. Also leads to either, A: Scams by the item not the correct one and/ or wrong type of currency. B: Confusing with more than one person in the hideout at once (simi-rare, but happens). C: Someone thinks you're trying to scam them because they lack brain cells and auto-block you. Auction houses would be absolutely perfect for Path of Exile. You put the object in the stash for sale, someone comes into your hideout to purchase it, money gets sent to either to your designated spot, or a holding tab. I would also argue that anyone against its addition into Path of Exile has monetization in some shape and/ or form with the current system. I can't see any other way why someone would be against it. It's nonsensical to think someone without some outside monetization involvement would care about a video game getting an auction house. Cancer in Path of Exile. A: Online trade website B: Bots C: Streamers end up just gambling, and not doing anything productive (not all, but most). Game should be about killing mobs, selling loot to players and showing off builds. |

Go play WoW if you want an auction house. The reason this game has an economy is because players have to do it themselves AND its GREAT! Ignore this cry baby crap GGG because if you instal a auction house you will lose me and every other player that help you make this game what it is.

Im in my mid 30s, I have experienced auction houses as far back as 15 years ago.
This is the first time i have experienced anything like this and it's worse than I could possibly imagine. I have experienced both and even if there are disadvantages to auction and instant trading they pale in comparison to this current piece of garbage. I only use it correctly when I'm buying which is terrible but necessary, when selling on the other hand there is no bloody way im spending all that time researching each individual item, I guess a price and if it doesn't sell it gets destroyed.
