Trial of chaos bug - coop unable to start last trial

left to sell a item... cannot continue.

"Choose a Modifier" but cannot. nothing to interact with... its dead.

Cannot repeat it often enough: All trials are horrible. Mechanics and gameplay and bugs... HATE it...

I guess I found a workarround.

At least for me this helped:

Go back to another place. Port back to the Temple of Chaos and enter the trial from the beginning.

You now may walk through all the levels you did before. Use the Switches to reset the pillars!

Once reaching the last stage you may pick your Modifier and you are golden.
