Mana siphon aera effect is bad design

Rearely seen effect that players unfrendly. Why it is an aura and not mana siphon on damaging hit like in the arpg god d2?
Running around the monster to try and espace the aura to cast one spell and be at zero mana then repeat for 5+min is not fun. Who tested this and greenlighted it? comon boys Zuletzt angestoßen am 14.02.2025, 04:56:01

Most people melt those mobs in around 0.12 seconds if geared any decent. First time, kind of annoying. The next 100s of times, not an issue.

yeah but when you are not there yet it is bad. It shouldn't be that way. A crap mechanic is a crap mechanic. Being overpowered to ignore bad and annoying design isn't the way to go in my opinion.

Decent gear doesn't mean overpowered. It means you are geared for the monster level of the zone you are in. It's not a "crap mechanic", as people are just going to say that about anything that kills them an d asked for it to be removed. Think how you can be prepared for those mobs next time instead of asking for it to be removed from the game. Wait till you actually reach crap mechanics like the Lost Towers xD.

So for me to enter a zone i need to be able to one shot or kill any rare in less than lets say 5hits so to not have mana siphon problem? That is not fun for me. l like a little challenge. This just gatekeep content that is easily doable without mana siphon aura. Dont like it. At least if on hit you can dodge the effect here you can't do nothing. And can't cast with a caster.

It could be tuned, but doesn't mean its a "crap mechanic".
