By the way, in case anyone was wondering, it also looks like can't shock with Three Dragons helmet and "All Damage contributes to Shock" ascendancy I guess because it is still "lightning damage contributing to shock". I was so excited to get my fourth ascendancy for that reason, or use Call of Brotherhood ring if it didn't work. Unfortunately both don't work! Maybe I will drop the chill stuff and try elemental storm? Also also, if yall didn't know, Everlasting Gaze amulet + Eldritch Battery is really good for Archmage for a similar reason why Call of Brotherhood doesn't work. The gain as extra ES from the amulet isn't converted into mana, so you can convert your base ES into mana, then gain the extra ES which benefits from tree passives! " I'm trying to say call of brotherhood doesn't convert arhmage damage. Because you are buffing frost damage and debuffing resists to frost damage - archmage damage is gimped. You still can take node "all damage can freeze" as lightning sorc. |

" Yeah, the conversion to cold for Archmage damage doesn't work. So your damage ends being split up between cold and lightning depending on how much Archmage buff you have. As a result you cant maximize damage with exposure, for example, because it will only strengthen either the cold or lightning portion (unless you apply both cold and lightning exposure, which is too inefficient I think) Zuletzt bearbeitet von HHalation#1325 um 14.12.2024, 18:32:35

" Shock is applied differently from freeze/chill. Shock has a chance to be applied based on how much damage you did, instead of accumulating like freeze. So if you don't do a lot of damage, there is less chance to shock. So I guess you aren't doing enough damage to have good shock chance? I would recommend reading the tooltips in game because it is explained there. Also, I didn't do the testing for Archmage so thank the other guy! " Thanks guys (and tsyt for testing it out!). Seems like brotherhood ring won't work with archmage and is only good for a CoF setup, which itself is pretty crap compared to archmage. I'll update the guide to reflect this. My question is if we're running the three dragons, how do we proc lightning exposure if the 4th ascewndancy doesn't work?
