Support gem disappearing

I keep slotting ice support gems to my sorcerer and everytime I look in a few minutes or so later they're gone. I've lost about 10 support gems so far this way. I've not changed my staff in the meantime either

Same for me on Witch, I transferred the support gem over to stash then sold the weapon. Swapped characters and couldn't find support gem (made a new one). Looked everywhere and couldn't find it.

Same here, 5 gems lost.
My lvl 14 sorceress only have two gems...

Equipped a new scepter and sold the old one and the support gems in the old one disappeared.

I just had a support gem from Renly act 1 dissappear on my Monk.

same here, and i am like pretty far into the game and now my char progression is broken. i can't even get new ones. i think i'm going to stop playing as i don't have the time to start over.

this just happened to me i used a skill gem to upgrade my non scepter version of skeletal warriors and boom the support gems i had the weapon version of it just vanished talk about a mood killer i don't even want to use my witch anymore :/

This has happened to me a couple of times when changing weapons I lose the support gems attached to the innate ability for that weapon. I also have swapped passive abilities in my ascendancy and you lose all support gems if you switch off of that ability. Then if you change your mind and go back they are just gone.
