PROBLEM WITH PERFORMANCE ON POE 2
From what I understand, the --nopatch keeps it from patching (kinda obvious) and without the patch it won't have the proper files for it to run properly. I don't know why it is added to the launch file by default (in my case at least anyway).
The game will have to redo the shaders for each area you go into for the first time after removing --nopatch (at least this was my case). After the first shader loading it should be much faster each time you load into an area. Zuletzt bearbeitet von Druxle#9805 um 16.02.2025, 16:26:36

Hey,
When I freshly turn on my PC I have 165 FPS (locked to the monitor refresh rate). But when I end gaming and Sleep my PC, then after waking up I have 40-50FPS. After restart system everything is back fine. I think it could be sleep/wake up windows problem. |

horrible performance
ryzen 5 7600x 4070ti doesn't matter which settings, some maps are unplayable, going back to D4, at least it's running buttery smooth no matter what happens on the screen. It's ridicoulous |

Performance in maps is awful no matter of game/graphic card settings. Stutter, lag, etc you name it.
It's not your hardware. Bad engine. No optimization. Having zero pleasure playing this. Zuletzt bearbeitet von kory1979#1755 um 20.03.2025, 13:05:57

Ok, everyone who has an AMD processor this is what worked for me.
I have a 9800x3d processor and entering new zones my pc went to 90%-100% load and after a bit of time even high temp 80-85 and this only happens on POE games. Before i had a 12600 k and no issues. Today I went and undervolt my CPU and the game performance basically changed. Max temp 72C but for a few sec and then around 60-64; loading was around 60% but mostly under. I don't know how POE is configured to run but it feels that eats your processing power as much as your CPU supports. I'm currently running POE2 on Vulkan at 1440 with no upscalling or DLSS and i have over 140-170 FPS. My gpu is a 4070 super and I also have 64 gigs of ram. |

there is something wrong with settings for sure, also changing them doesnt matter max or lowest is same performance .... Like how is that possible ?

I was reading some reports and I noticed that even if you use DX12 in settings the game is still using DX11 currently behind the scenes, which is prob why there is fps drops lots now, and swapping to Vulkan is instant crash for me and lots of other AMD users it seems,I'm on 7800X3D and 7900XTX, performance was fine before the big patch.
Edit: This was stuff before I went to bed, but DX12 and Vulkan both seems to be working normally now without fps dips or crashes for me. Zuletzt bearbeitet von Prismaa#3607 um 05.04.2025, 05:38:01
