Exception when loading character - "Unrecognised task serialised by server; missing registration?"

After completing Trial of the Sekhemas in Act 2, ascending, and clicking the portal in the final room I got an exception popup reading:

"Unrecognised task serialised by server; missing registration?"

My game crashed after I hit "OK" on the exception popup, and now I receive the same exception and crash every time I try to load into that character. I'm able to make and play new characters, but switching to my original one always throws the same exception.

I'm experiencing the same issue on my mercenary right after I ascended in the same trial. The game experiences a client-side crash with the "Unrecognized task serialized by server; missing registration?" error. The area name in the loading screen is 'Trial of the Sekhemas'/

If it is of any help for getting to the bottom of this - this occured in party play, we were 3 people and my friend was the leader and initiated the trial. We completed the trial, I picked gemling legionare and got the +3 skill slots node. Both of my friends didn't experience the issue. I think I was the last in the room, the game suddenly crashed without me even trying to teleport out.

Same problem for me. It happened after I picked "Gemling Legionaire" and got the +3 Skill node and put in a new skill.

I also picked Gemling Legionnaire, got the +3 Skill node, and slotted a new skill right before the crash -- seems like a common factor.

Yep happened to me with the Gemling +3 skill slots too!

Hopefully this is fixed ASAP!

Trying to understand the error, i coudn't find anything on the log file from client side.

Searching for more cases and more threads, i found the same error in other thread:

Tried but, in the case of this error to Mercenary, doesn't work.
