POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

How is this still not fixed yet

Still freezing when loading maps... why for the love of god don't they just toggle map load to single thread.

havent played in a couple weeks because of this. Guess I'll move on completely. It was fun while it lasted

Same issue been happening 4-5 times a session, legit turning me off from playing after it happens more than once. Use to freeze my whole PC. Had to download process lasso so it would stop freezing my entire computer.

Hi all, try the following:
1) Get any app that can manage CPU cores affinity (e.g. Process Lasso) and set its services to startup with OS.
2) Permanently disable just a single core for PoE2 process (efficient core for Intel is enough) in the app.

Didn't read all the 500+ pages! but for those still having the PC freeze did you try to set the CPU affinity?

Also, to avoid crash at start up, the game like a fresh started PC! with the least possible process loaded in memory! To do that just press CTRL+ALT+DEL, chose Disconnect from account, then reconnect to your account, this will unload all unnecessary process from memory. After that don't start anything! just launch POE 2. This may help!

And this is a workaround not a fix, but at least it remove the PC freeze problem!

What do you gain by coming here over and over again to defend GGG and state that it's purely a Windows problem? It must be to get a little attention, so there you go, more attention for your internet needs.

Even. Sounds like it has some special magic ability to "uncrash" the game. Read how exactly it works, the source code is open.

I already proposed workaround for the people who wants to play PoE 2 despite the freezes, at least it's working way to enjoy the game. It's a little bit complex but not a big deal if you have a lot of free time.
