POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen
" Can you explain how I get this issue with Win 10? Can you explain how people in this thread with Linux get it? Can you explain how people who never had "upgraded" to Win 11 24H2 has this issue? Also I have explained the difference between Win 11 24H2's problem and the one we are experiencing with PoE2. Multiple times. In best case scenario you are spreading misinformation, at worst you are a troll. In case you want to educate yourself: That particular Windows 11 problem is that Windows' "New Feature" was blocking the program's access to system resources, therefore crashing the program but never crashing the PC itself. The problem PoE2 has is that the program is hogging all available system resources due improper usage of system APIs, therefore crashing the program AND the PC itself. (Technically it crashes the OS because OS can no longer get the resources it has to in order to function properly). Furthermore, I ask anyone who sees this message to please give a negative review for Path of Exile 2 on Steam. I cannot send/reply to direct messages because my in-game character has not finished Act 1.
What to do: 1)Write a short review about the hard crashes in notepad. 2)Copy and paste it to steam reviews, put up a negative review. 3)Copy and paste it to steam discussions, put it up there. |

So far using POE uncrasher and turning off nvidia reflex has completely stopped all CTD's for me. POE uncrasher for loading screen CTD's and apparently nvidia reflex specifically was causing my out of loading screen CTD's which include the Direct X texture not loading crash as well as CTD's with no error screen.
For anyone using POE uncrasher that is still crashing to desktop make sure you are running it as administrator otherwise it can't change your game priority to real time to prevent the crash. |

" A user space process can overheat a CPU leading to a blue screen. Anyway a lot of people can still move their cursor when the freeze occurs, they just can't click. And the cursor rendering changes when you move outside of the PoE window. |

It seems PoE 2 doesn't support AMD CPU that well, my gig constantly frozen after gaming for about 5 - 10 mins while both CPU/GPU temp at 40/60 C respectively, need hard reset. Meanwhile my fr gig running Intel CPU and they are completely fine. The game literally unplayable for me atm.

" There's a hidden feature in PoEUncrasher to change the number of cores. If you want to park 9 cores, after starting PoEUncrasher just type 9 hit and enter. It should say it's changing the number of cores to park. You have to do it every time you start up PoEUncrasher though (unless you set the `CORES_TO_PARK` environment variable). |

" CTD is a different issue. PoEUncrasher will help for when PoE 2 freezes your entire computer at a loading screen, but probably won't help CTD. It might fix the freezing enough to uncover the CTD issues though. Unfortunately, because you have a 13th/14th gen Intel CPU, there's a high chance that your issues are just a CPU problem. If you haven't updated BIOS yet, that's extremely important for anyone on one of those Intel CPUs. It might help a little bit here too, but it probably won't fully fix your issue. The problem is at some point those Intel chips get into a failure state, and at that point all you can do is get a replacement under warranty. Having the newer BIOS update prevents it from triggering that failure state, but doesn't help if your CPU is already there. If it is, the proper solution is to warranty your CPU, however you might be less likely to crash if you do the following: 1. Make sure to do the BIOS update. Super important. 2. Underclock your CPU a bit -- it's probably set to a multiplier of something like 54-56, you could try lowering it to 52. Intel XTU can do this for you. 3. Optionally, you can also try parking more cores so that your CPU uses less power. After launching PoEUncrasher, type in 10 and hit enter into the console window. It should say it's parking 10 cores. You'll need to do this every time PoEUncrasher starts. |

This problem seems to be present only in the new generation of processors.
IIn my tests, I found that it tried to draw more voltage than necessary and locked up. And I discovered that this problem is caused by customized overclocking modes through the bios. When I turned off these modes, my problem was solved. My pc no longer freezes. U can look my post. If your problem is solved, don't forget to write an answer So more people can reach it. https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3663082 |

" This is not a new generation processor problem. We have many people here with older generation processors. That's why people ignored your first post. It did not say anything new. Nor did it say something that is true for this topic. Furthermore, I ask anyone who sees this message to please give a negative review for Path of Exile 2 on Steam.
