[3.28] Ice Dancing God - Icestorm/Cyclone/CI - Viable For Everything
" thank you for all the work you put into this build and guides. i'm a standard player because i only play when i can so leagues are not really anything i can get things finished in. getting one of the crucible staves is something that i've been trying to farm the currency to get. but those cost mirrors as i was never able to get a staff finished in league poe is going down fast. Diablo 4 and Baldur's Gate 3 have no performance issues. play them instead

![]() EXPLOSIONS? Zuletzt bearbeitet von adambog#4531 um 06.03.2026, 13:51:35

" Too low damage, and any kills done by explosions would not trigger new explosions as they are not killed by the supported skill. |
|
" This is literally Oriath's End flask as a support gem. Sadly, 10% damage as a random element is too low and is often resisted by nearby enemies. There will be some explosions but not a lot. Still, this could work as the 6th gem in the mapping staff. |

I'm feeling a LOT squishier, even with a full gem setup, in the late campaign. The Mirage mobs don't help, but it feels more than that. E.g., in previous leagues, once I had Immortal Call set up, I went from squish to stone. Here, not so much.
Mirage "golden orb" wishes can give you a lot of gold. At around level 50, I was getting 1k gold per orb. Overall though, the campaign mirages didn't add that much except maybe for the 100% exp ones. Hopefully it's better in maps... ----------------- Data points: Level 63, 2081 ES, 856 int, resists 72/75/71, have not done 3rd lab yet. (Normally when I hit maps, I start around 3500-4000 ES and do not die again until around lvl 90 @ T15+). 4 x T1 map: deaths: 2/6/6/2. Yes I failed 2 out of 4 T1 maps. I suspect I REALLY need that 3rd lab. Doing it now. I may also need to level to 65 to get the next tier of ES/EVA gear. I'll post the results. ----------------- Level 65, 2926 ES, 1053 int, 75/75/72 resists, 3 labs. NOW this feels like it used to. ----------------- LOL I spoke too soon. There's a LOT of variance in the mob groups now. There'll be blue packs of 20 mobs with a couple of rares that rip right through me. This was a group around Varashta. Ya, I have to pay attention now. I suppose that's an improvement! Zuletzt bearbeitet von Graiaule#7461 um 08.03.2026, 01:05:33

in red maps now, one voidstone done and it is a lot worse compared to old leagues. at this point i expected to have way more es. currently sitting at 5870 and it´s doable.
but economy wise this league is very different, everything seems to be very expensive. no idea how kelvynn gets that rich to buy 2 helicals on saturday already :D |
|
" 1. Economy is indeed weird. I picked up the base for my belt (13% int) for 3 chaos. Picked up the cluster jewel I will use for quite a while for 20c. But stampedes are divines, and split personalities are >70c. 2. Kelvynn found a couple of divines and snapped up the helicals early. |
|
" I noticed that people don't use trade website anymore but rather the ingame market. Press"/" to open it in case u don't know. |

if anyone has the time to look over my build in standard and recommend changes that i can make to simply make it better it would be greatly appreciated

So far:
- ES nerf makes a difference. I used to finish the campaign with Icetomb and 2.5k ES. This time I had 1.5k ES in Act 10 and it was just a bit too squishy. I could probably still do it with 1.5k ES but Izaro in the 3rd Lab simply 1-shot me. And delaying the 3rd lab is a bad idea. So I bought a 400 ES chest and was completely fine after that. - The buff to dropped currency is real! I found 2 divines in white maps and bought a Helical ring base on day 1. And then another two on day 2. Now I have the bases and I just use them unmirrored cause they are already better than regular rings. Reflecting Mist is as expensive as usual. Crafting will happen when it happens. - Synthesized %Int belts are cheaper than usual. Easy to grab a couple and switch them around as you craft better ones. - Deafening Spite is cheap early as usual. Not hard to get a few of them for crafting small things. - 6k ES in T16 maps with rippy mods feels a bit squishy. Don't neglect to get a budget chest with 750-800 ES. And anoint Steelwood Stance - you will feel the difference immediately. Especially if you add the reduced damage blue eldritch mod. - Mirage monsters have some overtuned damage. Especially those shiny small rings they drop that explode for some ungodly damage. - Split Personality was too expensive for the first 2 days, but now the prices have dropped and Int/anything is cheap enough. Int/armor is actually helpful. - I was able to kill the quest versions of Eater and Exarch for their voidstone, and then the 3 memory bosses, the new Saresh boss, and the King in the Mists for the Nameless ascendancy - with a couple of deaths with 6k ES. So that's still not hard at all. Just can't laugh in their faces and ignore all mechanics anymore. - Definitely keeping Discipline for now. I'll try to add Zealotry with Enlighten. But 1.5k ES is too valuable to lose right now. |
