I know Faster Casting is doubled in the gloves. Gonna swap to Gravebind's until I can get things going and switch to Arakaali's Fang. Hope that helps while I figure things out.

So I think I'm having issues with Bone Offering. I placed it in the weapon with Unearth and Arcanist Brand. When I cast Arcanist Brand, there's a brand and nothing. Even after killing some mobs and casting again, notihng. Sometimes it shows and sometimes it doesn't. Seems random. Do the gems have to be in a specific order? I figure AB - Unearth - Bone Offering last. Same results.

Yes, correct, take the trees and items-tabs equal to your level (lvl 85, lvl 90, etc.).

Don't take the trees to strict. You can balance tankyness and damage always with some more spellblock of a large spellblock-cluster, more ailments-immunities of arcane sanctuary or more es-passives for defences when you feel to have enough damage.
Or instead buff your damage with the next medium cluster "pure agony", the +1 chaos-mastery or a large minion-damage-cluster.
It always depends on your gear, your already obtained support-gems and the content you're stinging.

Budget of the build was 10 days after leaguestart around 5 div for starter gear and 30 div for medium gear. With the starter gear lvl95 is easy possible. Now in middle of the league the prices should be mostly cheaper:

To summarize: Aul's uprising amulet, ashes of the stars or +1 + aura-efficiencies rare amulet, are expensive (probably not many delve and auras are popular as always) around 10 div each. Empower lvl 4 is expensive 8 div. All other gear/ clusters/ jewels are the same or cheaper prices as in the last leagues. I checked the prices at a very bad, not fitting trading time and saw most pieces cheaper at earlier times already - like empower lvl 4 to snipe 4 div, large spellblock-cluster 2 useable skills 80 chaos etc...


When you craft some stuff yourself it's cheaper, but 5 divines will not be enough, sorry. When you level empower it will very tightly fit. I guess t 14 would be possible, I am not sure. With 6-7 divines no problem.

Starting with the shield "apep's slumber" instead "aegis aurora" would make it also easy in t16 possible to go with 5 div.

Your pob is almost great. Well done.
Change "redemption" to the next cluster "pure agony".
You miss the second curse despair, that would be 20% damage when you have a free slot, and a source of more withers like balance of terror etc. (see "the composition of agony") when you need more damage.
The next big upgrade is the "empower"-support, it is great buffed with skin of the lords for HoA.


I cannot figure out why your arcanist brand don't trigger. You have enough mana when pob calculates correct.
The brand need to be attached to a mob. When the mob is killed instant /too fast, it is detached and don't trigger. Mmmhmm, ordinary there should be no problems.

Yes, 2x faster casting on gloves + supportgem don't stack. I personally don't advice to the gravebinds, their "nearby" is too small to trigger often. They are a little bit qol, but I would simply exchange the faster casting-support-gem to chance to poison-support and regret the passives of serpentine spellslinger until getting triad grips with 4 white sockets.

Still having trouble staying alive in easy low maps. Maybe I'm just really bad at the game. Lol. I feel I hit most of the major items. Just short on 1-2 jewels. I'm guessing Large Jewels only cover Block Spell Damage? I tried looking through notables list and didn't see much to balance out Block Attack Damage. I'll figure out the glove situation as well. Does the build rely on Spiders in the early end game or can it be played with just HoAG?
So I just realized the Large Cluster I have is a 10 passive. So I'll swap that out then switch off Redemption and Serpentine Spellslinger.
Then add Despair like you said. I'm currently having trouble with STR/DEX. Would you suggest I source that on a Unset Ring and add Despair there?

- take in the third large cluster with veteran defender at position 1 or 3 (price is varying, yesterday 50 chaos, today around 100 chaos https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Sanctum/ogZOLGgil ) for dex, str, resis, es.

- take in the next medium cluster pure agony with resis/ dex on transferpassives.

- Ghost dance keystone on skin of the lords is great recovering 1.8k es in damagepeaks in exchange for 7% damage of your b.i.s. coloured one.
Take cheap 40 chaos 3g, 2r, 1b, use damage on full life instead vicious projectiles in the HoA-supports. https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Sanctum/GdOKyybib


Then next the big upgrades awaits. The 100% ailment-immunities with eldritch -boots (see spoilers "crafing" and "fire and other ailments") helps 100% against deadly ignites.

You have already great resis on many clustertransfers. For the melding of the flesh you need a few, 2-3 levels more for more clusters and resis, it will then double your ehp. You need to stack some resis more on the eldritch boots and on some of the clusters, use balance of terror-jewel with the despair/wither mod and you will be ready. Take a look into "jewels" - the melding of the flesh for more easy possibilities for the needed resis.

So I took a look on the pob - it's looking fine with 12M damage and 1.4M ehp.

You have some overcapped attributes and could change out split personality and also practical application when you limit molten shell/ determination 1-2 lvls lower or get a bit str on a clustertransfer.

Later often the 3 passives for small clusters are better as 2.
Singletarget United in dreams with a balance of terror jewel and selfcasted despair is stronger as arakaali's.

An anti-bleeding suffix on one flasks often is the most needed suffix.

For tankyness the next upgrades are

- 100% ailment avoidances. Change the 2 spellblockpassives arcane guarding to arcane sanctuary and then get better boots like guided in "important mechanics" - "crafting".

- Melding of the flesh is almost possible with more resis on clustertransfers, veteran defender on a large cluster and aul's determination reserve no mana instead aul's with grace + switching uncompromising to sublime form-clusters too.

Looks already very fine! Well done!

I made some of the changes indicated above and it got sooooo much better.

I managed to turn on all the auras, but they still stay right at the mana limit (57).

A doubt that I was after the last changes was in relation to the summons. Where could I include it? And I'm not sure I understood how Unearth works on this comp.

Much congratulations to awesome lvl 100!

Unearth generates needed corpses for the bone offering and some HoA-virulences also beside.

You miss a few attributes dex/str to put out the split personality-jewel.
Your circle of nostalgia has only 32% reduced reservations, 40% by default and 48% with fertile catalysts are easy possible.

I would advice to change:

- Get a better circle of nostalgia with higher efficiencies and a good implicit (like dex/str) or reroll your with divines
- without arakaali's fang you don't need the writhing jar, change it to a basalt or to an iron-flask
- get a large cluster with "veteran defender" on position 1 or 3 (around 70 chaos) (- or when you have enough currency a voices cluster) https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Sanctum/ogZOLGgil
- use it instead your large renewal/call to the slaughter minion-damage-cluster
- path without jewel-slot in the witch-starting-area straight to wicked ward
- path 2 passives practical application
- remove split personality

- get a small cluster self-control with 3 passives 6% efficiencies (not 2) for around +30 unreserved mana.

I'm mostly a weekend player, and I'm 100% sure I could be much stronger rn if I just played it more. Here's where I'm at, currently:

Highlights of my setup are the insane Skin of the Loyal +4 and gloves that turn ball lightning into a 7-link. For QoL reasons, I like putting culling strike on my attack whenever I'm running Arakaali's Fang, I think this trivializes the spiders' upkeep while mapping. The helmet was also a great find (I got it for 2 div, iirc).

My flasks are all enchanted in the best "forget about manually activating them" setup I could think of. Likewise, I went for a rather novel anointment, and I'm happy with it. It's just amazing to run into dense packs of mobs and exit it with 4 endurance charges.

I tried to run the build without convocation and with a manual Despair gem, but the way the HoA gets randomly stuck firing from behind walls made me think that Convocation is an absolute necessity in this build.

For the HoA links, I'm currently running what I think is the best combination that still leaves enough mana for the CwDT gems to fire up as needed (I also need all the mana regen I can get for that). Before Awakened Minion Damage I was running Phantasms and Pierce instead of Culling Strike and also having a great time with that setup. I barely notice the absence of pierce rn, since the Crawler + spiders just melt all normal content instantly anyways.

For the spiders, I keep multistrike + unbound ailments for hard bosses. Awakened Multistrike is still well beyond my means.

I don't know how to improve the build now, however. Any advice of what I should go for next would be appreciated. I've been ignoring the endgame content for now, sticking just to T16-maps/heists/delve and the like.

Yes, Convocation is needed in dungeons and against proxy-shield-mobs. Against bosses in Arena you can go without.

I always love the variations!
Overall in lategame you will need a bit more mana with charisma and perhaps damage recouped as mana on a jewel and more damage with triad grips, clusters, eber's etc.
Your damage is enough for most content, but for simulacrum wave 30, UE or Ubers you need more like guided in checklist damage.

In my experiences you can best choose your set-up around these preconditions to balance your build.
You can easy switch with a few clicks from more tankyness to more damage and back by changing clusters, passives, amulet and gloves.

■ 6M damage are really for sure enough and best for t16-mapping and lvl 100 farming
■ 8M are enough to kick Maven
■ 10M for Ueber Elder
■ 12M for the feared and simulacrums wave 30
■ 15M-30M for the Ubers



Your most impactful upgrades would be:

Damage:

Eber's helmet, white triad grips, empower lvl 4, more clusters pure agony, whispers of doom and a second curse

Defences:

A better stygian belt with much more resis, a watcher's eye, later melding of the flesh, you will need veteran defender on a large cluster, then later a balance of terror-jewel, etc. and change your medium 5 passive-clusters to 4 passive clusters (with resis and dex on the transfers) and your anoint to charisma to regret presage.

When you focus on tankyness and lvl 100, take an aul's uprising amulet to activate grace, when you focus on damage take an uul netol's amulet. I would advice to start with aul's to farm for exp and currency higher juiced maps, heists, etc..

Yes, you need mandatory to selfcast despair with balance of terror, not on hit triggered.
Cast arcanist brand whenever you need the triggered skills, in maps you often can go without. There was a bug reported that sometimes flask-using disable arcanist brands in special conditions.
Cast when stunned don't trigger that often with high evasion etc. Your mana should be enough to reliable trigger it. When you want, choose "other trigger" from the spoiler "skills"
Arakaali's is great until around 15-20M damage, further united in dreams scales the damage better to 30M, 40M, 50M.
So wait with united in dreams until you optimized damage further.

When I checked correct you use purity of ice but not the jewel melding of the flesh?

So you need only around 12 cold resis added - for example change the benchcraft on the rare gloves to cold- and fire-resis.

Regret 3 passives redemption.
Regret 4 passives utmost intellect.

Path to next clusterjewelslot next to divine shield. Insert a medium cluster pure agony, insert the jewel "the melding of the flesh" (with good rolls).

Change curse-reductions in the mastery to by ar increased es-recharge to buff wicked ward.

I guess you should have enough mana to regret 3 passives presage.

Regret the last, the third passive serpentine spellslinger.

Change the 2x 4% spellblock in arcane sanctuary into 4 passives arcane guarding for reaching already 100% ailment-avoidances.

Get another large cluster (spellblock or better veteran defender on pos 1 or pos 3, see tradelinks, for the next changes) or activate +1 chaos mastery corruption.

When I import your char there are some differences to the posted pob. There your next upgrade would be eldritch boots for 100% ailment-immunities, melding of the flesh -4 instead -5 all resis, and a small or unique medium cluster winterprowler +2 for 87% resis or an impossible escape-jewel +3 for 88% resis.

Hallos, I've been following this so far and I think I've been trying to cheap my way through buying things a bit too much lol. Would like some assistance on at least upping my defenses. I don't have that many divines but I'll start grinding some after posting this!

First off, couple things I know are a bit messed up

-Cluster jewel for Conjured wall/Mage hunter
Working on getting a good one to upgrade to! Price has been fluctuating on this a lot.

-Divergent tempest shield
Same thing, working up the currency

-Still need empowered level 4

-The random strength passive in the far left
I'm down 6 strength atm. Hoping to get it in when I get some better clusters.

-Using ball lightning over storm burst
Willing to swap back once I'm more tanky but at the moment standing still is death so I can't really use it.

-still using Sanctuary over Charisma
Its helping to fill some gaps in my defenses. I have the stuff right now to put on Charisma when I can afford to drop it.

-Grace sitting with my ball lightning setup and Despair sitting with my Auras
Will move these around as I can. Unset ring will help along with something that allocates Grace or a different aura.

-The boots are very copium
I got burned hard while crafting by RNG. Settled for this for the moment.


Thanks so much for helping everybody so much with the build. Really loving everything so far I just need to tear the bandage off and invest more. Currently trying to figure out good items to replace my ring and belt with to reach the elemental resistance point to move on to melding of flesh.

Edit: Got some Alt quality gems, trying Storm burst again with the better Alt quality gems, moved Cast when damage taken to a 3 link for the moment to be able to slot in despair on that piece so I can 4 link Storm burst again. Going to move it back to a 4 link bringing back void sphere once I get an unset ring.

Also I got my Grace Aul's Uprising for really cheap, but am looking to upgrade it to the determination one to get the strength from that as well as being able to get the Grace reservation small cluster to be able to get that 10% elemental resist from it.

I have enough resistance to move on to melding of flesh, just need to get one more level and replace my bad mage hunter/conjured wall cluster and I can path over to where I can slot it in, And eventually if I hit 100 I can get a third cluster and put it in there somewhere.

Still though I cut a lot of corners going through this so If anything looks like I might be making a huge mistake please let me know!

Things I know that I need to fix.

-Cast when damage taken is currently a 3 link

Had to cut void sphere to be able to have the slot for despair. If I can ever get a shield with one of my auras on it then I'll fix this up.

-Duration support not linked to Molten Shell or Withered Step

Pretty much same as above. I needed room for determination once I added in purity of spirits. If I can get the Eber's Unification that has the 90% reserve corruption I plan on taking out enlighten support and slotting it back into the helmet, or moving it to the ring so that Purity of Ice can get reservation from the helmet.

I know this post has been a jumbled mess but I tweak my character so much that things just become irrelevant too fast, Sorry for the headache if your looking through this trying to help and thanks for all the support you give those who are trying the build!

Messing with things here and there to optimize stuff has been really fun lol.

Hi Sirentu!

Yeeeahh, that's looking well done! 18M damage when you use singletarget awakened vicious projectiles and inf. ehp.

Switch out the 6-points-medium cluster. I guess you can still exalt-slam some clusters for some added stats.
You don't need Zealot Oath when you have no life-reg for 1 free passive.
Get better large clusters and get a good rolled melding for 87% resis and doubling your ehp.

I would change reduced curse effects to increased es-recharge in the ar-es-mastery to counter the downs of wicked ward.

Change redemption to another pure agony or +1 chaos mastery corruption for 21M damage.

Yes, the eber's are extreme cheap and often in trade with 90% costmultiplier.
An added good implicit or granted aura on aegis aurora is also cheap and very valuable.

I love the ball-lightnings also, their sound and style and a bit smoother movement - and in almost all content they are fine. Only when you want to keep range and against teleporting targets they are too slow.
