Kays Builds are very good for transition into one of her other builds, with almost no changes in the tree.

If someone is starting now with Necro I would suggest to buy a "Dead Reckoning" Jewel and use Skeleton Mages asap

Hey, I'm new to minion builds and loving the league starter minion army to skelly mages. However upon transitioning, I am getting confused when my spectres dies. I don't know which one died, the Carnage Chieftain or Host Chieftain. I can't tell the difference and don't know which one died!

Just remove your Spectre Gem and recast Desecrate and Raise them again.
"Host" and "Carnage Chieftain" are Found in Act 7 "The Ashen Fields" if you can't desecrate them in your hideout.

You use Lvl 18 Gem, better to invest 25c imho.

If you can summon it and don't use Spirit Offering, or another form of chaos resist buff for minions, should be fine.

Fleshcrafter + Mask will actually make your AG pretty tanky :) Just don't give it extra chaos res.

20% base = 40% life as ES.

My AG has 100k life, so it has 40k ES and 60k life. I also give it 10% ES on body armour. So totaly ES = 50k.

Mask give 1% regen per 500 ES, so my AG has 100% life regen.


*AG in +3 helmet and Minion Life mod.

You can use the same starting tree (no cluster jewels) for all builds :)

You just need to respec when you start using cluster jewels. If you look at the POB, you can find "Minion Army tree (no clusters)" and then "Level 84 (one cluster)".

You get 20 respec points from the Acts. Should be enough :)

I think the main difference is my build uses skitterbots instead of zealotry?

If you can get Ashes with a good mana reserve mod, then you can use Zealotry instead. It will give more DPS.

Also gem link choice? I see people use Volley, but I think the coverage is bad because it shoots in straight lines. I recommend LMP instead (or AGMP).

You can anoint Breathstealer and it give some interesting buffs when you kill rare monsters. The mods are stuck in one place, so it's not that useful for fast mapping. But it's good for content like Sim because you don't move around too much.

I use Vixens in my builds because double/triple cursing can help a lot for DPS or defense.

On my golemancer, I haven't lost a zombie since I got this gem. Lost my elemental immune carrion golems a few times, but support zombies were always full HP in the middle of packs.

I don't think phantasms are that good, because your support minions need to do the killing, or hit a rare/unique. Summoning a bunch of skeletons manually might be a bit more reliable, if the healing is still triggered when replacing the skeletons.

I have Anomalous FF in the build guide, so I think some people still have problems even they use it...? Not sure :\

I'm using phantasms with golems atm and it seems to work well actually. I usually have 11 phantasms all the time.
