[Outdated] Lancing Steel Raider | SoftCore | Not league starter viable anymore
" Think of the saviour as a multiplier. If you do low dmg without it then you won’t get much out of it. If you purchase it after you have a lot of gear then it will multiply that gear in the form of mirror bros. I would take a look at the upgrade path leckarion posted in the guide as it’s really well thought out and logical. Maybe even sell the saviour and purchase other upgrades first. |

" Heya! Thanks for replying! It's exaclty as @shyndo89 mentioned, your own dps WILL drop a bit by equipping The Saviour, but the mirage clones deal EACH around 48-50% of you total and final dps! if you check the Reflection main skill in PoB you'll be able to see their DPS. For example, I had 18 million dps with 2 Beltimbers in my current character this league, when I swapped one for The Saviour, my dps dropped to 13.5 million, but both my kage bunshins from The Saviour deal each 6.6 million dps, meaning I have around total 25 million dps with The Saviour active from Lancing Steel. Have in mind that in clear they will go haywire dakka dakka at everything that moves, speeding up your clear, but against bosses(especially the ones that are alone in their arena), they will focus the boss and have sustained dps since they don't stop attacking. It's awesome to delete metamorphs before they spawn their adds, for example. Also, checked your PoB with 2 Beltimbers your own dps is 7.3 mil full buff and with The Saviour it is 5.1 mil, but your Mirage Saviours' dps is 4.69 mil. Remember that they literally are a flawed copy of your character, a real reflection, so anything that alters your damage will increase theirs in real time, if you pop a flask it wil actually afect their damage because their damage is based on your dps post character damage calculations(not taking into account map modifiers, stuff but taking into acount auras, curses, flasks, distance to teh enemy for Point blank + Far shot...) Hope that answers your question! I don't know if that's detailed enough! Feel free to ask any further question! Have a great one! Fell in love with PoE and now it's my crack. " Heya! Thanks for the reply! I only use Flasks of warding in multi curses maps. I usually just swap my Silver Flask of Adrenaline for one of Warding in those cases, but in single curse maps I'll just adapt my playstyle to the active curse I'm under and run the Flask of Adrenaline anyways because I liek my characters fast. :v But by all means, if you're having any survivability issue with enemy curses get a Flask of Warding. In the min-maxed end-game setups I didn't really run any Warding Flask because I would simply delete everything before anything became a threat in regular end-game content. Before achieving that, fit in a flask of Warding whenever needed. Hope that anwesrs your question! Feel free to ask any further questions! Have a great one, buddy. Fell in love with PoE and now it's my crack.

" Heya! The next step in your character should be getting a Ryslatha, it will give you a good amount of life. Also, try upgrading your boots to a pair with a higher life roll. You may also remove cloth and chain and allocate more life nodes on the passive tree. Check out either the updated Low-budget with cluster PoB or the mid-budget PoB on the guide and swap your golem and cdwt guard setups for the ones in those files. You may as well check the changes made to the passive tree to optimize dps and life. Your gear is good, but getting a higher maximum life your greatly increase your survivability coupled with your good LGOH from your rings. A Dying SUn would also help with both damage and survivability. hope that helped! Have a great one and take it easy! Fell in love with PoE and now it's my crack.

How do you feel about champion so far? I was interested in play a lancing steel build this league, but I couldn't decide between champion, deadeye or raider. I chose champion, and I see you started a champion as well. Considering you wrote this guide and have experience with all 3 ascendancies now, what do you think is better? Even though I haven't played a ranger variant I can't help but feel ranger is superior. It zooms faster for clear and I think the dodge/eva base is stronger than a mitigation base for this build's defense.

Hello
Thx for your reply about my ascendency. I just switch raider and yes , damage is better! clear is better! like the movement speed boost!nice boost But now i don"t really know how i can have more dps like you.I am very far from your 18M dps with 2 beltimber.I bought some large cluster and jewell (attack damage+attack speed+%life)but with them i lose dps and life, so i don"t use them. I just hit 9.5M with all gem 20/20. |

" Heya! Champion get's a kind of a headstart with his ascendancies giving impale, shaving some mana reservation and giving you free fortify, but I think that ranger is stronger because of the frenzy stacking for free and higher mobility. Free onslaught also helps freeing up a flask slot that can be used either for a QS flask or another survivability flask. Problem is the progression on Champion feels more continuous opposed to the amore gear dependent Raider/Deadeye. All options are definitively viable and really strong, but they have different benefits that cater to different playstyles and possible setups. Dodge + Evasion def feels better than armour for mitigation with some evasion and dodge stacking, but armour gives you the possibility of tanking hits that would otherwise one shot you with the same amount of HP but less phys dmg reduction. Nonetheless a good max dodge + high evasion setup with high enough life deals with that easily as either Ranger or Assassin. Hope that helps and answers your question! Have a great one, buddy! Stay sane! Fell in love with PoE and now it's my crack.
