I come from Kelza`s VD build and adapted it a bit with the help of POB. I love the program, though its a bit tricky to use for our VD builds with so many damage sources (spell/corpse) and hidden mechanics (cdr anyone? :D).
Helmet wasnt touched since i found a bone helmet with Life, next thing will be a CDR helmet which i'll craft (- mana reservation and - fire res to enemies). Im Happy with boots/belt/gloves/Inpulsa, shield and Wand are on my list, but will have less priority. Im not totally sure about including herald of ash to the build, i have to check if it can fit in mana-wise and also it requires a few items which are pricy - and i'm broke after inpulsa :) Chaos is not capped, its barely positive, im working on that too. is this one of the more important points towards dealing with sirus? with the rest of my equip, i have the feeling that i can gain power, but not necessarily survivability. Another problem i have is, that its very hard to get that much good crafts (removes, augments, remove/add) to keep crafting. spent already like 200c to buy T1 seeds, still i have only had a few aug life for instance. |

" Honestly with everything in spellslinger there really would be no practical way to add a herald. Yes, with the minus cost to cast it will help, but still too much reserved otherwise. The whole build is really dependent on the Glorious Vanity Jewel and Chaos res capping. This makes you EXTREMELY tanky along with the block and life from your blocking. You will reach a point where you without it that you feel a bit vulnerable. The single most important thing on Sirus is the Corrupted Blood jewel IMO. Without that the last phase becomes a ton harder. As far as gearing, I'm a big get it yourself, craft it yourself kinda person. So, it just takes time. I'm working on my shield and have 2 more steps. If you follow the guide exactly in POB it puts you on the path. After that it's all about min/maxing. |

" Taking Glancing Blows now would put you permanently @ 75% / 75% block. GB doubles your 'Chance to Block Attack / Spells. So you only need a base of 38% on each to hit cap once you take GB. You take 50% damage from each blocked hit. The purpose of this is to hit Max Block with less points invested, and to flatten the incoming damage spikes into more frequent, smaller hits. These are easier to manage with things like Bone Offering, Leech, and flasks. Here are a couple example calcs from PoB, the "x 2.00 (more/less) is from GB node: ![]() ![]() Zuletzt bearbeitet von Evernothing#0584 um 16.07.2020, 10:34:34

ha, i wasn't really aware of the importance of Glorious Vanity - still i don't really see the massive importance here?
Assuming 1k ele-dmg Normal res 75%: (1-0,75)*1000 = 250dmg Chaos res 85%: (1-0,85)*1000 = 150dmg This means - if i am right - splitting 1k ele dmg in 500 ele and 500 chaos: 0,25*500=125 + 0,15*500=75 = 200 dmg so i gain a 5% dmg reduction (80% instead of 75%) for elemental damage only, still getting full phys (besides armour etc), have to invest 2 skillpoints (incl jewel slot) and losing all my energy shield (ok, not too much). are these 5% ele red that important? i completely missed that point :-) --- also, thanks tho your insights on the herald. i have not yet calculated it in PoB, to see how much i would have to sacrifice to get te mana level to a usable point. is this VD Necro still capable of doing Uber-Elder (with better/endgame gear)? thanks a ton mate! best regards |

" Going from 75 to 85% chaos resistance is a basically 40% reduction in chaos damage taken (per 100 chaos damage, you take 15 instead of 25). So it's a great chaos reduction. Then you take 50% of ele as chaos instead of ele. Say 120 ele damage, with normal 75% you'd take 30. With divine flesh, you's take 60 x 25% = 15 and 60 x 15% = 9, total 24. So 6 less...6 divided by 30 = 20%. TLDR = Divine Flesh, assuming you're appropriately rez capped, means you take 40% less chaos damage, and 20% less elemental damage = Pretty Good. IGN - Ziddyroc

If Glorious Vanity is not in your budget currently, you can buy Peaceful Moments div cards for about 5c - 8c each.
This gives a 20% chance to receive Glorious Vanity for 35c - 40c investment. If you get the wrong name on your Glorious Vanity, you can Divine Orb it to Xibaqua. This roll is a 33.33% chance. A relatively cheap gamble to save 1.5ex |

I've been following the build for a few days now and is currently wondering how I can improve my character in terms of the basic needs of the build.
Currently, Im still looking for better pieces and parts as well. Also, may I kindly know how are we able to use 3 spellslinger skills? Here's my current progress on the build. |

You only need to use 3 spellslingers before you get the Trigger a 'Socketed Spell when you use a Skill' wand craft.
You can only do it on a 5L or 6L if you drop the Detonate Dead I think. But you are past that point already. Can you post a current PoB I can take a look at? Or take your account of private and I can load it myself. Upgrades: Get Fire Leech or +1 Fire Skill Gems on Amulet. Replace Chernobog with a rare shield with the life recovery on block. Get runspeed on boots. Zuletzt bearbeitet von Evernothing#0584 um 16.07.2020, 13:54:44

Hi, have one question, is it worth to use Awakened Fire Penetration Support instead of inspiration?
