so I really wanna play a COC-Ice nova assassin for flashback.....whats the best way to lvl it? Is it still orb of storms with chain and hypothermia? or ??? no idea really.

Or should i start with some other assassin and respecc completely once im in mid maps and have enough currency

Elemental bladefall/bladeblast is good.
What are your thoughts on CoC Ice Nova with new boss content? Probably not the best option, or only under the condition of a very expensive assembly, so that you can simply crush them with damage? Ignoring the sustain.

You need expensive gear if you don't want to die too often but i have to say that its still good and you will have a lot of stuff you can upgrade and ramp-up your bossing experience!

I have tested this build as league starter and i will do it again with 4-link after act6. You will die on bosses early on but its not big deal on soft :D If you want to enjoy the build the whole time start this as second char when you have like 20ex or so. For bossing i would say ES on hit watchers will save me on bossfights so will try get one fast :D

After seeing the new Ascendancy rework its kinda interesting stuff for sure! Seems like we lost some movement speed and nothing too crazy happened? Also new attack speed breakpoints need to be figured out? Wonder if we could use now tailwind with 14cooldown breakpoint? How big movement speed nerf did we really get when we count in new changes?

Here assasin changes for us:

Opportunistic
Added
20% reduced Damage taken while there are at least two Rare or Unique Enemies nearby

Removed
20% increased Movement Speed if you've Killed Recently
10% reduced Damage taken while there are at least two Rare or Unique Enemies nearby

50% increased Elusive Effect

Removed
50% chance to gain Elusive on Critical Strike

I also want to league start this (altought to switch at early maps) but a lot of people here seem to indicate that this build is very rought if you don't have 100's of exalts worth of gear. Do you have any tips for starting?

I posted some on previous page. Also forgot to mention that get some Life leech early on. You can still make decent life version to get to tier 16 with just cospris + 6-link armour

We also lost 34% movement speed that is kinda sad and we going to feel so much slower :(

Can some math expert make calculation how much actual movement speed we lost if we are/were using 30% movement speed boots while factoring in new elusive

You don't need 100's of exalts,but it doesn't hurt either. I've never had 100's of exalts and I've been able to easily do all content. I think the only exception was T16 full Delerium maps, those are hard.
But I will say that you don't want to have a 20ex budget for you final form.
And people are also forgetting that Harvest is back, and the Maven Orb will be extremely powerful to get god tier stuff. How hard will it be to get the Maven orbs remains to be seen and I have a feeling they will be very expensive on trade.

Hey Guys, so far from the changes we lost about 24-34% Movement speed, depends on the elusive effect. Also we lost 14% attack speed which mostly hurt us if we aim for 10aps endgame version. Make sure Tailwind doesnt affect our attack speed (PoB is wrong). Also we lost some defensive from the Elusive Ascendancy.
All in all it should still be viable build, but lets wait for patchnotes. I leaguestartet this build 3 league ago with a life version on a small budget and killed Sirus A8 with it, so there shouldn't be a problem for all content. After that you can just farm your currency and move then on for A LL Version for even more dps and defence or go the more tankier way as CI
My mistake, movement speed bonuses are additive. We have/had the following bonuses to movement speed. Note that elusive grants a 30% movement speed bonus.

While mapping (killing monsters)
Misterwalker: 30%*1.60 = 48% (up from 41.5%)
Deadly Infusion: 0% (down from 10%)
Opportunistic: 0% (down from 20%)

So, this amounts to a total of 48% bonus movement speed which is a 23.5% loss (down from 71.5%).

However, while bossing things aren't as bad.

While bossing (not killing monsters)
Misterwalker: 30%*1.60=48% (up from 41.5%)
Deadly Infusion: 0% (down from 10%)
Opportunistic: 0% (would have been at 0%)

So, this amounts to a total of 48% bonus movement speed which is a 3.5% loss (down from 51.5%).

Overall this isn't too bad since we are in a league with some bossing focus.

Considering the bonus from Elusive buff (30%) and "ideal conditions" we have:
Before: 30 + 41.5% increased movement speed
Now: 30 + 18% increased movement speed

So the difference is - 23.5%

And if you subtract another 10% for "enemies nearby", the difference does not seem so noticeable at all (13.5%).
I think we can handle it :)
